Chapter 38 Lauren's POV
Hunter was strumming so hard on his guitar, I didn't think that guitar was going to survive. The crowd just loves it. I can't believe all his concerts are like this and it's kinda... crazy, but Hunter says let's be crazy so I guess it works. I just watched back stage. I wore blue skinny jeans, my blonde hair was straightened, my grey Hunter Hayes shirt that Hunter made me so happily wear. He finished as he grabbed the microphone,"the last time I was in New Jersey, I walked into the wrong public bathroom." I laughed as I remembered when he did that. "But I want to remember this New Jersey. Ugh, Jill, can you bring Lauren out?" My heart stopped as I looked around as everyone backstage was smiling. Jill came and escorted me to the stage,"you'll thank me." She pushed me out as I was blinded by the lights. Everyone cheered as I couldn't really see. I walked to Hunter as I didn't know what he was doing. I though he was mad at me. He grabbed my hand as I just looked at him, he held the microphone up to his mouth and made eye contact with me,"a lot of things have happened since we really got together, but that never stopped me from loving you. I know we've made mistakes, but I've made most of them and it's crazy how you still seem to be with me to this day..." He laughed," I guess when you find out about something, you forget about everything that's really around you. I apologize for hurting you, saying rude things you, and more that I can say. I'm sorry. I don't think I proposed the right way when we were in California, it was kinda of, a last minute proposal.." He slid the ring off my finger and threw it. My eyes widened as he just threw almost a $10,000 dollar ring to know where. "Hunter..." I whispered. He got down on one knee. I looked away as I was just praying he wasn't going to do this right here in front of thousands of people," HUNTER!" I whispered trying to gesture him to stop. I looked at him as he looked up at me,"I have to do it right babe..." Hunter said. Oh my god, oh my god," I'll cry with you, I'll make you feel wanted, i'll be you're heartbreak, your flashlight, your secret love, your wild card, everything. You're better than everything, you're sweeter than fantasy, girl when you look at me, I know that you're my someday girl and I most defiantly found my someday girl. Lauren, marry me. Again." I laughed as I wiped my eyes from so much tears falling from them. Hunter proposed like a man, better than when he proposed to me after fighting 4 or 5 months ago. "Yes." I said with a smile. He stood up and pulled me into a hug as squeezed him so tight as he did the same. The crowd roared and I know this will be all over social media tomorrow. "I'm sorry." He whispered in my ear. I shook my head 'no', pulled away and looked at him,"like you said, people do crazy stuff when they're in love. I'm sorry. I should have told you." He kissed me,"it don't get better than this." He whispered smiling pulling away from the kiss. "OH WAIT!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a new ring,"you're spending too much money on these, you bought like 3 for me already." I joked,"nah, I'll get that money back tonight." He said winking as he slid the ring on my finger,"did good Hunter." I told him looking at the diamond,"don't I always?" I laughed,"finish your concert."
