Author's pov:
On the other side of the City, Zaid is sitting in his office while looking at the picture of Shivani and Abhimanyu's Reception party picture. But his gaze was fixed On Shivani, who is looking beautiful just like an Angel.
" Angel, I will get you by hook or crook. You will be mine and this Abhimanyu, I will Kill him, if he comes between us. " Zaid said while caressing Shivani's photo. He took the scissor from his drawer and cut the picture in half, where he threw Abhimanyu's photo in the dustbin.
In Rajvanshi's palace:
After having dinner everyone left for their room, while Shivani was waiting for Abhimanyu. Its half past 11, still Abhimanyu didn't came as he was busy in his work.
Shivani slept while waiting for him on the dinning table.
Abhimanyu stepped quietly into the dimly lit, empty hall. The soft glow of a single light illuminated the room, casting long shadows on the walls. As he moved further in, his eyes fell on an unexpected sight-his wife. She was slumped over the dining table, fast asleep, her head resting on her folded arms.
The remnants of a late meal were scattered across the table-a half-empty glass, a plate with untouched food, and a faint scent of spices lingering in the air. Abhimanyu's heart ached at the sight. He knew she had been waiting for him, fighting exhaustion until sleep had finally claimed her.
Walking over gently, he brushed a strand of hair from her face and whispered her name..
" Shivi.." his voice soft and full of affection. She stirred slightly but didn't wake, her peaceful expression tugging at his emotions.
A small smile formed on his lips noticing how peacefully she is looking while sleeping. He pulled near the chair and sat on it before keeping his coat aside and loosen his tie. He looked at the untouched food and understood she didn't had her dinner.
"Shivani..." he called her name again, this time a little louder, his voice echoing softly in the quiet hall.
She stirred, her brows furrowing slightly as if pulled reluctantly from the depths of her dreams. Slowly, she opened her eyes, blinking in confusion as she lifted her head from the dining table.
"Abhimanyu?" she mumbled, her voice groggy, still thick with sleep. Her gaze met his, and a soft smile curved her lips as recognition dawned. "You're back..."
" Hmm.. but you don't need to wait for me, you should go to bed." He said softly while tugging her hair behind her ear.
" What is the time now, Abhimanyu.." she asked him while raising her eyebrow sounding a little strict. But he found it cute and a small smile formed on his lips, but soon the smile dropped when he noticed the anger in her eyes.
He suddenly remembered she had asked him to be home before 10, but now it was well past 11. Letting out a soft groan, he facepalmed, then quickly looked away to shift the focus.
