Author's pov:

After breakfast, Shivani and Abhimanyu, along with Arha and Adhi, headed out for some shopping.

Abhimanyu carefully picked out toys and essentials for Manu. Shivani watched him with quiet admiration, the way he cared for Manu touched her deeply.

Her heart warmed with a longing she hadn't voiced before. She wanted a daughter too. She wanted to share the same bond with Abhimanyu as parents, to see him pamper their daughter one day.

Her train of thought was interrupted when Abhimanyu gently shook her shoulder.

" Where are you lost, Shivani? I've been calling you for a while,"he said.

She couldn't look away from his eyes, so full of warmth and sincerity.

In that moment, her heart brimmed with pride and overwhelming love. A strange possessiveness stirred within her.

Without another thought, she grabbed his collar and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. Abhimanyu's eyes widened, and he blushed.

"What was that for?" he asked, surprised, as she let go and gave a playful shove to his chest.

"I want a daughter," she blurted, then immediately clamped her lips shut, realizing what she had just confessed.

Abhimanyu's eyes softened. He smiled and pulled her a little closer, causing her to gasp. They were in a public place. Her eyes darted around nervously to check if anyone had noticed, but luckily, everyone seemed busy with their own lives.

"I want a daughter too," he said gently, his voice teasing, "but first, I need a yes from the future mother."

Her cheeks turned crimson. "Stop it, you're becoming shameless, Abhi."

He chuckled. "What? You were the one who said you want a daughter. And for that... there's a process, you know. Something we need to do to bring her into this world," he added, lightly caressing her blushing cheek.

"What is that process?" Shivani asked, her eyes narrowing with innocent curiosity.

Abhimanyu looked at her, half-shocked and half-amused. "Don't act like you don't know, Shivani. You do have some idea, right?"

She shook her head, completely serious.

He blinked. "Wait... you did go to school, right?"

"Of course, I went to school! But what does that have to do with this?" she asked, frowning.

Abhimanyu stared at her in disbelief. "Are you telling me your teacher never taught the reproductive system?"

Shivani rolled her eyes. " Well... when it came to that chapter, my teacher always skipped it. And honestly, I hated biology, so I didn't bother paying attention either."

He let out a deep sigh, as if trying to process the shocking truth of what she'd just confessed. Before he could respond, Arha and Adhi returned, interrupting the moment.

"Bhabhi! Shopping khatam ho gaya kya?" Arha asked cheerfully.

( Bhabhi is shopping done?)

Adhi followed behind, arms full of shopping bags. " humari ho gayi."
Shivani said with a smile, slipping back into her composed self like nothing had happened.
