Abhimanyu's pov:

Life becomes a quiet kind of heaven when the one you admire and love the  most smiles at you, genuinely, peacefully, without a trace of worry.  And today, I realized something… That,
I’ve fallen in love with my wife.

The same woman I once saw as a name on paper, part of a marriage I believed was just an arrangement, a compromise I was pushed into.

But now, every glance, every soft moment we share, whispers something different.

That maybe fate knew better than I did.
And love… it found its way in, slowly, silently—until it became everything.

And to my utter misfortune, I couldn’t even openly gaze at my wife, because, of course, my dear brother and sister had to be sitting right beside us, shamelessly devouring the upma like it was a five-star buffet. I have no clue why they’re here. Maybe just to ruin my perfectly good moment.

I sat there, stealing glances at her every few seconds, pretending to be interested in my food while my heart was staging a full-blown drama. Because guess what?

Yesterday, we shared our first kiss.

It wasn’t planned, it wasn’t dramatic—it was simple. Soft. Real.
But in that moment, the world stilled.
It wasn’t just a kiss—it was like the universe paused to breathe, just for us.

And… I want to kiss her again.
Her lips were warm, soft, and addictive.
I didn’t want to stop, but I did. Because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been able to stop at all.

Now, as she smiles and chats with my siblings, I can’t help but stare again. Her lips curve into that familiar smile—the one that’s been haunting me since the time I met her. They move gently as she talks, but I don’t catch a word. I’ve drifted somewhere else. Somewhere quiet, and surreal.

It's like the world muted itself, and all I can see is her.

JUST HER.

In that moment, it felt like time, space, and everything in between faded away—and we were the only two people left.
And right there, in the middle of noisy chatter and leftover upma, I realized something with startling clarity:

I am hopelessly, completely, and beautifully in LOVE with my wife.

Everyone’s attention suddenly shifted to me. Four pairs of eyes now locked onto my face, each carrying a mix of confusion and curiosity—along with a perfectly synchronized frown.

What happened?

Wait... they’re saying something.

I blinked, shook my head gently, trying to pull myself out of the trance I didn’t even realize I’d fallen into.

“Bhaiya, what happened? Where are you lost?” Adhi asked, the corner of his lips twitching with a teasing smile.

Great. That little devil definitely caught me.

Whatever. I was just... admiring my wife. There’s no crime in that.

“Nothing happened,” I said quickly, voice sharper than I intended. “And you guys tell me—why are you even here?”

A pause. I realized I sounded slightly rude, but honestly? I couldn’t help it. I had just been teleported from a dreamland where it was just me and her—and now I was back here, surrounded by uninvited upma critics who had the worst timing.
