" What's the update?" Abhimanyu asked as he stepped into the conference room, his tone calm but commanding. A major meeting was underway regarding a new project worth 500 million dollars.
The discussion went smoothly, both parties eventually signing the deal.
However, the client had one condition...A new branch needed to open in Darjeeling, a location that was quickly rising as a tourist hotspot and could prove profitable.
" Sure," Abhimanyu nodded. " Adhi will handle that. He'll keep you posted on the developments." Then, without skipping a beat, he continued outlining the rest of the upcoming plans, shifting the room's focus to the next phase of execution.
After the meeting, Abhimanyu headed over to the fashion wing for another session. The atmosphere in the room shifted noticeably when he walked in. The CEO, lead fashion designer, team heads, and a few interns were already seated. Upon seeing him, everyone stood up respectfully to greet him.
Amith slid into the seat beside him as the meeting resumed. They discussed preparations for the upcoming fashion week, reviewing theme ideas and showcasing initial design concepts.
Abhimanyu observed each piece carefully, occasionally offering his suggestions.. subtle corrections, thoughtful input, the kind only a sharp and experienced eye could provide.
But while he was focused on the designs, a pair of eyes never left him.
He looked effortlessly striking that day.. dressed in a crisp navy blue shirt rolled up at the sleeves, paired with black trousers and a slim black tie. His coat was draped neatly over the back of his chair.
The veins on his forearms, which is highlighting the fair skin, the calm authority in his voice... everything about him commanded attention.
And attention he did get, especially from the women in the room. Some interns could barely keep their eyes off him.
But one girl, in particular, couldn't look away.
Her name was Shreya, a new intern. The first time she saw him in a business magazine, she had been instantly drawn to him. It would be a lie to say she didn't have a crush. How could she not? He was everything - successful, kind, powerful, and heartbreakingly handsome. Most of all, as far as she knew, he was single.
So, in her mind, maybe... What if, she had a chance. She thought if she could just show off her charm, she might catch his attention. After all, most men fell for beauty, didn't they?
But what Shreya didn't know was that Abhimanyu wasn't like most men.
He wasn't someone you could win over with a pretty face. His heart wasn't available... because it already belonged to someone. His wife. His Shivani.
Even though she wasn't around, Abhimanyu's loyalty never wavered. His love, deep and unwavering, left no room for anyone else. No matter how many eyes admired him, his gaze remained fixed on one woman alone... his jaan.
The meeting wrapped up.
"And about the updates... I want everything in by tomorrow evening. Mail it to me," he said firmly before rising from his chair and walking out with his usual calm confidence.
Everyone started to leave, except Shreya, who sat frozen, still staring at the door he'd just exited through.
"Hey, come on! Let's go, or we'll be late. Didn't you hear? We need to submit everything by tomorrow evening," her colleague said, tugging at her hand. " If we delay, Kyathi ma'am is going to be all over us."
