As they stepped into the car, Shivani's endless bickering began again.
"Now where are we going?" she asked, her brows furrowed.
Abhimanyu shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. He never imagined his wife could talk this much.
"What? Why are you smiling like that?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Nothing... just wondering where my silent, introverted wife disappeared. Do you remember when you first came to our house? You barely spoke. And now... look at you, Shivani," he said, his eyes still fixed on the road.
Shivani's smile slowly faded as his words sunk in. 'You only speak when someone is willing to listen'. All her life, she was told to be quiet - at home, in school, even in college. Why are you talking so much? Stay silent... Those words had followed her everywhere, making her withdraw into a shell.
But now... something was different. He was different. Without even realizing it, she had become comfortable around Abhimanyu. Talking to him felt natural, like a river flowing without restraint.
Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed his gaze flicking toward her.
"What happened, Shivani?" he asked softly.
Startled, she blinked and looked at him.
"I'm just... wondering how much I've changed. And... I'm sorry if I talk too much," she murmured, turning to stare out the window at the bustling world outside.
Abhimanyu's warm hand gently covered hers, making her heart skip a beat.
"Don't apologize," he said, his voice tender. "I enjoy listening to you. Your voice brings colour to my boring life. Please... never stop talking."
A soft smile crept onto Shivani's face as warmth bloomed in her heart. For the first time, she felt Heard - and nothing had ever felt more beautiful.
The ride was silent, filled only with the soft hum of the car's engine, until they reached their destination.
"Here we are..." Abhimanyu announced, bringing the car to a halt.
Shivani's eyes scanned the massive building in front of her, its structure resembling a stadium - something entirely unfamiliar to her.
"What is this place?" she asked, confusion lacing her voice. It was her first time visiting a place like this.
Abhimanyu smirked, a glint of mischief in his eyes.
"I'll tell you... but not now. You'll see it yourself," he teased. "But first... you need to close your eyes."
Without waiting for her response, he gently placed his palms over her eyes, blocking her view.
"What are you doing? Open my eyes!" she protested, squirming beneath his touch, trying to free his hands.
