Author's pov:

After talking to Abhimanyu, Shivani didn't step out of her room as she is having a headache..

Meanwhile, Gauri and Radhika had taken the day off, avoiding Anjali’s sharp tongue. They didn’t want to risk any unpleasantness for leaving the guest unattended.

Meenakshi ji, on her own spiritual journey, had left for Kashi to meet an old friend and seek Lord Shiva’s blessings at the Vishwanath temple.

Most of them either away or preoccupied, the scene at home was serene yet faintly tense.

In the lawn, Gauri and Radhika discussed their upcoming events, their hushed voices blending with the rustling of leaves.

Arha and Adhi were at college, Manu sat in the hall, happily engrossed with her toys.

Inside, Vaidehi and Anjali were seated on the sofa, watching Manu playing.. Vaidehi’s relaxed demeanor was no match for Anjali’s calculating eyes.

Anjali, a woman with a knack for extracting secrets, she knew  how to play her cards.

Vaidehi’s soft demeanor made her an open book, and Anjali, with her cunning mind, knew exactly how to exploit it. With calculated intent, she decided to unearth the secrets of Shivani and Abhimanyu’s relationship.

Feigning concern, Anjali began her game.

"Beta, kaise hai tere bhabhi tere saath? Acha se pesh toh karti hai na? Koi aise waise baat toh nahi ki?" she asked, her voice laced with feigned warmth.

( How is your bhabhi with you? Is she treating you well ? She hasn't said or done anything improper right? )

Vaidehi hesitated, caught off guard. "Nahi bua, bhabhi is good with all of us. Woh... bas, kuch aisa hua tha ki bhabhi ki wajah se Dadi sa stopped talking to Bh…" She froze mid-sentence, realizing she had said too much. Panic flashed across her face as she hastily tried to cover up.

( No, bua, she is good with us, it's just in the past, something happened and because of that  Dadi stopped talking to Bh..)

“What happened, Vaidehi? Why did you stop? Did something happen that you all are hiding from me?” Anjali pressed, her arched eyebrows betraying her growing interest.

"Nahi… woh… it’s nothing like that, bua," Vaidehi stammered, her eyes darting nervously around the room.

Anjali, sensing victory, leaned in closer, her voice soft and filled with false affection.

"Vaidehi, you’re bad at lying, beta. I’m just concerned for the family. You know, even though I’m married, this is still my home, my family. Please, tell me. I only want what’s best for everyone."

Caught in the web of Anjali’s manipulation, Vaidehi’s resolve crumbled.

In a trembling voice, she revealed the painful truth. She recounted how Meenakshi ji had slapped Abhimanyu and severed ties with him because of Shivani.

She spoke of the deep rift that had formed between Dadi sa and Abhimanyu, a bond once sacred, now broken.

By the time Vaidehi finished, her voice was heavy with regret, but the damage was done. Anjali’s face darkened with fury, her anger simmering beneath the surface.

"Bua, please do something," Vaidehi pleaded, her voice desperate. "I can’t see Bhai like this. Maybe you can talk to Dadi sa and make her understand."
