The tension in the air was suffocating as we approached the abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. The dim glow of the streetlights barely illuminated the cracked concrete and rusted metal walls. Yuvan, Ishika, and I exchanged silent glances, each of us acutely aware of the danger we were walking into.
"I don't like this," Yuvan muttered under his breath, his hand resting on the gun tucked into his jacket. "It feels like a trap."
"It is a trap," I replied, my voice low but firm. "But it's one we have to walk into."
Ishika stepped forward, her face set with grim determination. "I'll do whatever it takes to get Avni back," she said, her voice steady despite the fear flickering in her eyes.
Before we could respond, the metallic creak of the warehouse door opening shattered the silence. The sound echoed ominously as two armed men stepped out, their expressions cold and calculating.
"Avivansh Pratap Singh," one of them sneered, his tone mocking. "Our boss has been expecting you."
I clenched my fists, my jaw tightening as I stepped forward. "I'm here," I said, my voice cold and sharp. "Where's my wife?"
The man smirked and gestured for us to follow. "Inside. But leave your weapons here. Boss's orders."
Yuvan and I exchanged a glance. Reluctantly, we handed over our weapons, knowing we had no other choice. Ishika looked at me and nodded a silent gesture of reassurance.
As we entered the warehouse, the dim lighting revealed Jaswant Sindhiya standing in the center of the room. His presence was as suffocating as the stale air around us. Beside him stood Avni, her hands bound and her face pale. Despite the fear in her eyes, she looked at me with defiance-a silent promise that she hadn't given up.
My heart sank deeper and deeper as saw her standing there helpless. Our eyes met I was seeing her after two days but it felt like an eternity tear streaked down to her cheeks, I lowerd my eyes I can't see her crying as I noticed the bruises in her hand I couldn't help but feel the ache in my heart. I would burn him alive but first I need to make sure Avni is safe.
"Ah, Finally got to see you after twenty years," Jaswant said, his voice dripping with mock politeness. "How kind of you to join us. And you too my precious daughter. How... touching."
