Avivansh cupped my cheeks, his eyes blazing with both love and determination. "Aana, listen to me," he said, his voice soft yet commanding. "I don't want you to see what I'm about to do to this man for everything he's done to you. I need you safe. Please."

His words cut through the chaos in my mind, and I nodded reluctantly, my heart sinking like a stone. I didn't want to leave him behind, but I trusted him. I always did.

Samarth Bhaiya placed a firm hand on my shoulder, guiding me and Ishika outside. The harsh air hit my face as we stepped out of the warehouse, and I noticed the scene around us. Armed men surrounded the area, their weapons ready, while bodies of Jaswant Sindhiya's guards lay scattered on the ground, a grim reminder of the battle that had unfolded.

As Samarth led us toward a waiting car, I dug my heels into the ground, refusing to move. "I won't leave," I said firmly, my voice trembling with emotion. "Not until Avivansh comes out of that warehouse."

"Avni, try to listen to me. It's safer for you to leave now," Samarth tried reasoning with me, his expression tense.

I shook my head, my resolve unyielding. "No. I'm staying right here."

Seeing that I wasn't going to budge, Samarth let out a frustrated sigh before turning his glare toward Ishika. His face twisted into a mix of irritation and disbelief. "Seriously? Pepper spray? That was your grand plan for self-defense?"

Ishika placed her hands on her hips, her eyes narrowing. "Excuse me? If it weren't for my pepper spray, we wouldn't even be standing here right now!" she shot back, her tone sharp and defensive.

Samarth scoffed. "And yet, somehow, you still manage to attract trouble like a magnet. It's honestly impressive."

"Oh, don't you start with me!" Ishika snapped, crossing her arms. "And by the way, did it ever occur to you to ask if I'm okay first? Some protector you are."

"Why would I?" Samarth retorted, voice dripping with sarcasm. "You bring danger upon yourself. It's like a talent at this point."

Ishika rolled her eyes.

"Unbelievable. You're scolding me right now? After everything?" Her voice wavered slightly, as if something inside her cracked, but she masked it with frustration.

I watched their heated exchange in a daze, barely processing their words. My mind was consumed with thoughts of Avivansh. The chaos around me faded into the background, leaving only his face in my mind.

Just then, Ishika turned on her heel too abruptly—

"Ahh!" she gasped as her ankle twisted beneath her.
