**Mitch's POV**
We get inside the mall, and Karlie seems to be very overwhelmed. Scott picks her up and she quickly hides in his shoulder. It's getting pretty late, so there's not a lot of people here, thank God. I just don't know what would happen if a fan saw us, or how Karlie would react. Todrick split from us when we got here, saying he'd find us later. We walk in to Old Navy for starters, just to get some basic stuff. "Hey guys, I'm starving, I'll catch up in a bit." Avi stops. "Alright Avi. Just text me and I'll let you know where we are." Scott turns to Avi. "Okay." We walk in and Karlie's eyes are everywhere, looking at everything. Scott grabs a pair of shorts and a pink sparkly shirt. "Mitch??" He turns to me for approval. "Sure, we can try it." I nod. We go to the dressing room and I take Karlie in to get changed. "Daddy, what you doing?? We didn't buy yet." Karlie looks confused. "You're right baby," I laugh. "you're gonna try it on, and then if we like it, you'll change back and we'll pay for it when we leave. And if we don't, we'll just put it back." she looks at me and nods. "You know Karlie, you're really smart for being so little." I poke her nose, and she giggles. I put the tank top on and she looks in the mirror. "Cute." she spins around. "Awwe." I smile. "Let's show Papa." We walk out, and Scott's looking at his phone. "Scott." I snap my fingers in front of his face. "Huh?? Oh, Karlie!!" Scott grins, staring at Karlie in awe. "You look so cute, Kar!!" She spins around and giggles. "So yes??" I look at Scott. "I think she looks adorable, but you're the fashion expert." Scott says, still watching Karlie. "So yes." I laugh. I take her and change her back, checking the sizes. We shop some more, Karlie insisting trying on more things, and Scott is loving it. When we finally get done and pay for everything, Scott says Avi's on his way. "Papa!!" Karlie latches on to Scott's leg. "Karlie, what's the matter??" Scott picks her up. "Scared." She looks around. "Honey, you're okay, Papa and I are right here." I say, taking a look around myself. "Hey, Avi!!" Scott waves at him. "There you guys are. I thought you said you meet me at the fountain!!" I see Todrick come up to us, in a hurry. "Look y'all, we need to go. I just heard a girl, telling her friend that she saw Avi and then the other one said she saw Scott." Todrick said as Avi's eyes go wide. "Alright then let's go!!" I say as we turn around and hurriedly walk out of the mall. "Why leave??" Karlie asks. "Well honey, we're really...popular." Scott tries to explain. "Famous??" Karlie says and Todrick gives me a skeptical look. "She's really smart. Isn't she like 3??" I nod. "Yes Karlie, we're famous, kinda." Avi says to her. "We sing." Scott says. "Wait!!" She stares at Avi. "Stand By!!" she screams. "Yep." Avi smiles. She laughs, "Stand By." she lays on Scott. "Let's go back to y'all's house." Todrick smiles. "Alright, I'm down for that." I laugh.
When we get home, I put all of Karlie's stuff away. "Now that you know the size, you can start online huh??" Todrick, who's sitting on her bed, laughs. "Yeah. Definitely." I laugh along. "So..." Todrick drags out awkwardly. "What do you guys think about tour and school and YouTube and stuff??" He asks, and I freeze. "Well...uh... Tour we're gonna figure out, but as for Superfruit, we have to tell the fans. I just really don't want to keep a secret like Karlie, it was hard enough when Scott and I were just dating." I explain, putting the rest of the stuff up. "Yeah, I remember. That's good. And school is the same as tour, I'm guessing??" "Well...I don't know. That's where Scott and I are different." I turn around, leaning against the door. "Oh, really??" he looks sideways. "Yeah, I mean Scott wants her to go to public school, but I want her to be homeschooled." I say, looking at the floor. "Oh really?? Well, why do you want her to be homeschooled??" Todrick asks, curious. "Well...I mean I had enough trouble in school, and with Pentatonix and even Superfruit, I just don't want her to be outcasted and used because of us." I explain. "And Scott doesn't understand tha-" "What don't I understand??" Scott comes in, "Nothing babe." I turn around and grab the bags and quickly walk out.
**Scott's POV**
I watch Mitch walk out of our daughter's room quickly. "What was that about??" I turn to Todrick. "Well, I was just talking to him about what y'all's plan was for school." He explains. "Oh, we already agreed to send Karlie to Public School." I nod. "Umm...Not by Mitch's words." Todrick says reluctantly "Oh, really?? What did Mitch say??" I look at him, confused. "Mitch said...uuhh, I don't really think he'd want me to say." Todrick awkwardly laughs. "What did he say Todrick??" I say a little to aggressively. "HesaidhethoughtKarlieshouldbehomeschooled." he says all at once. "Homeschooled?? That's ridiculous." I laugh. "Wait...you're serious??" I stop when he doesn't laugh along. "Yeeeaaah..." Todrick drags out. We stand in silence for a bit until we hear Karlie scream, "Daddy!!" She cries, I run in the living room and she's not there. "Karlie?!" She cries again. "Where are you?!" I follow the scream to Mitch's room, where she's being held by Mitch. "She almost fell off the bed." Mitch explains. "I think it's bed time Kar." I say, sighing. "No!!" She protests. "Yes." Mitch gets up. "Nooo!!!" She starts to kick and scream. "Karlie Grassi-Hoying!!" Mitch raises his voice, making her freeze. "Gassi-Moying??" "That's your last name." I explain."You're going to bed." Mitch snaps. "Okay Daddy." She mumbles. "Here, I got her." I reach for her after Mitch realizes what he did. "Baby, I'm so sorry." Mitch looks at Karlie, who is starting to cry. "No, I bad." I pick her up. "Yes honey, and you shouldn't do that." "And Daddy shouldn't have snapped at you." Mitch says shyly. I carry her to her room, where she starts to cry. "Baby, what's wrong??" I hold close. "I bad Papa!! I bad!!" I shush her. "It's okay baby, you're just tired. You're not bad." I kiss the top of her head. "Okay Papa." She yawns. "You know how much Daddy and I love you??" I ask her sweetly. "No." I smile, "There's no words for it, Karlie." I rub circles in her back as she falls asleep. I change her into one of Mitch's old T-Shirts I found, and I tuck her into bed. "Goodnight Papa. I wove you." I hear her as I walk out, "I love you too, princess. Night-night." I walk out, starting to close the door, "No!!" She screams. "I want Daddy." She mumbles. "I'll get him, okay??" "Okay." I walk back into mine and my husband's shared room. "Mitch??" I call for him, not seeing him anywhere, I see the bathroom door cracked. I walk up to it and I can hear him crying. "You good for nothing, you aren't ready to be a father." Oh shit, I don't like where that's heading. I rip open the door, finding Mitch with an all too familiar blade on his wrist, getting ready to make a cut. "Mitchell!!" I scream, making him drop the blade. He just sits there, crying his eyes out. "Old habits." I sigh, "Oh my God Scott." He jumps up, running to me, and hugging me. "Shh, babe." I hug him tightly. "I almost did Scott, I almost did it!!" He cries into my shoulder. "But you didn't." I mention. "Because you walked in!!" He screams. "Babe, calm down. You'll be okay. You are a wonderful dad, Karlie loves you. And so do I." I squeeze him and I start to tear up. "Don't you cry." Mitch laughs, "You just worry me, babe." I laugh. "Anyways, Karlie wants you." I let go of him. "What does she want??" I shrug at his question. He walks to her room, and I suddenly think, "Wait Mitch!!" "Yeah??" "When did Todrick leave??" He laughs. "He left when you went to put Karlie to bed." "Oh. Okay!! Just wondering!!" Todrick always leaves at random times. I change into a pair of shorts, and a tank, and I crawl into bed, suddenly exhausted from today's events. I scroll on Twitter, trying my best to wait on Mitch, but eventually I give up and go to sleep.
