Just as I had hoped, the months at home flew by fast. After around a month of resting and not doing much physical activity, my head had healed completely. Now it was August 1st and Father would be at the house any minute to take me to his place for the rest of the summer.

I had just finished putting the last few items into my bag when I heard Mom call from downstairs, "Katie, it's time to go!"

"OK Mom!" I yelled. I zipped up my bag and did a final check around the room for things I forgot. When I got downstairs, I set down my bag and hugged my mom goodbye. "Bye Momma, I'll miss you." John was at work when I left, but he had said goodbye to me earlier in the morning.

"I'll miss you too. Now your father should be waiting outside."

I gave her a confused look. "Don't you want to talk to him?"

"No, I'm good. Bye sweetheart! Remember to write."

Sure enough, Father was waiting for me outside. "Hey Father!" I greeted him happily.

"Hello Katie." He hugged me and kissed the top of my head. "Are you ready to go?" I nodded. He took my hand and instructed me to hold on tight. We apparated right into his house. I felt a bit dizzy from the trip, but the feeling went away as I looked around. It was a rather dark place with loads of book shelves and potion supplies everywhere. "I'll show you to your room." He led me up a creaky staircase and to a room at the end of the hall on the right. "I took the liberty of decorating it for you. It's different than the rest of the house."

When he opened the door, I gasped. The walls were a pretty cherry-blossom red color and the bedding was white with flowers on it to match the wall. It also had a desk to do my homework on and a pink rug.

"This is amazing! I love it, thank you so much!"

"I'm very glad you like it. I figured since you'll be spending at least half of your summers here you'd like to have your room personalized." I ran over and hugged him.

"Thank you!"

"You are most welcome. I'll let you unpack. Dinner will be at five." After he left, I filled my WALK-IN CLOSET with all of my clothes and hung up a few posters I took from my room at Mom's house. Once I was done, I sat down in my chair and took a good look at the room.

There was a tap at the window. I opened the curtains to see Claire was back from hunting and that she had a letter with her. After she entered the room, I took the letter from her and gave her some water. I opened the letter to read:

Heyyy Katiekins!!! I miss you!!!! Like, soooo much!!!! It's soo boring here, I just wanna die!!! Earlier today I almost took my broom out and just went, but then I live in a muggle neighborhood so it's not a good idea. Haha! I think I might join the quidditch team, I'm getting better! Well, I wish you were here. Go Slytherin! I love you! See ya after summer!

P.S. I'm sooo getting you together with Seamus! Hearts!!!-Maddie

I laughed as I folded the letter up and got out a quill and piece of parchment.

Haha Maddikins! Oh I miss you too! I have just arrived a few moments ago at Father's house. It is a dull house besides my room which he decorated for me! I love it. There's a walk-in closet too! As far as quidditch goes, I don't think you'd be able to tryout. Flint never lets girls on the team. He is so sexist. I actually think that I like Seamus better as a friend. So don't try and get us together! Love you and miss you!-------------Katie

By the time I finished writing the letter and had sent it off with Claire, it was time for dinner.

After taking a seat at the table, Father and I ate in silence for a while until he spoke up. "How's your head?"
