After staying in the Hospital Wing for one week, Ron was finally able to leave. Lavender and Ron had broken up, but Ron didn't remember what he said the first day he was in the Hospital. Hermione decided not to tell him. It doesn't matter. I know they'll end up together eventually.
The month of March, I spent most of my free time with Maddie and Blaise because Draco had to work on the cabinet. I didn't try and convince him to take a break at all since I knew he had to work hard to make up for leaving during Easter break. At first, Maddie and Blaise would question me on where he was, but gave up after a while. I would never give them a straight answer. "Have you heard from Fred lately?" I asked Maddie one day as the month was nearing its end.
"Yes, he writes every week. The shop is doing great. He wants me to come stay with him over Easter break," Maddie told Blaise and I.
"That sounds like fun! I guess you'll have to find someone else to hang out with over break then, Blaise," I replied.
"What do you mean?" Blaise asked.
"Well since Maddie is going to be with Fred, and Draco and I are going to my mother's-"
"You're leaving too?" Maddie interrupted.
"I didn't tell you?" Both of them shook their heads. "Draco and I are going to spend the break at my mother's so we can meet my new little sibling."
"Your mother's pregnant?!" Maddie yelled.
"I didn't tell you that either?! She's due March 28th which is the first day of break."
"Well congratulations!"
I laughed, "Thanks. I'm sorry, I must have totally spaced out on telling you guys this."
"You haven't exactly been around much to tell us these things though," Blaise said quietly.
"I'm sorry! It's been a weird year, but we're hanging out now!"
"Draco isn't here," Maddie stated.
"Other than that though, we're hanging out like we used to all the time!" They just shrugged. Things sure were changing as time passed.

"Hi Dad!" I greeted as I stepped into his office the night before the last day of classes before Easter break. "I just wanted to ask if we could call Mom from a payphone in London before apparating there. That way she can know when exactly we'll be coming and that Draco is coming too since I didn't tell her that in my letter."
"That sounds like a good idea. Do you have muggle change for the payphone?" Dad asked. I nodded. "Alright. We can leave as soon as you and Draco have packed after dinner tomorrow night."
~~~~~
At six o'clock in the evening the next day, Dad, Draco, and I apparated to London to find a payphone. When we found one, I inserted the muggle coin and dialed the phone number Mom had written down on a sheet of paper for me the last time I saw her. "Hello?" John's voice rang through the phone.
"Hi John! This is Katie. Has Mom had the baby yet?" I asked.
"Actually yes! He came earlier than expected. He was born on the 23rd, so five days early. Your mom is feeding him right now. Are you coming soon?"
"Yes, we are coming as soon as I get off the phone." I looked around to see if there were any muggles around. "Dad is going to apparate us there to save travel time. I thought I would call to give you the heads up of when we were coming. I also wanted to let you know that Draco is going to be coming with as well."
"That's great! We'd love to have him spend the holiday with us too. We'll see you in a few minutes then. Goodbye, Love you."
"Alright, see ya. I love you too. Bye!" I put the phone back and stepped out of the booth. "Mom's already had the baby! A boy, born on March 23rd. I didn't get the name yet," I told Dad and Draco.
