Instead of heading to lunch, I ran to the Room of Requirement, thinking no one would be in there since it was lunch time. To my surprise, there were still people in there.
"Back again?" I searched the room and met eyes with Seamus.
"Yeah," I replied, slightly out of breath from both running and crying.
"What happened?" he asked, gesturing for me to take a seat next to him.
I obliged. "I finally got Draco to listen to me, then I gave him back his promise ring," I explained, looking down as I began to tear up again.
"Why'd you do that?" He questioned.
I took a deep breath and began to tell him what all had just happened. Seamus just sat there and listened. When I was done, I asked, "Why are you talking to me? I thought everyone here hated me." I looked around the room, seeing that sure enough I was receiving a few glares from the others.
"Nobody hates you," Seamus stated. I scoffed and looked back at him. He went on to explain, "They just hate everything that you've done lately, becoming a death eater and all of that."
I laughed, "Sure, that's one way to put it."

After waiting out lunchtime, I decided I had better still go to my afternoon classes, despite the fact that I knew they would be torturous.
It had appeared that the roles were flipped now. Draco spent the entire afternoon begging for me to listen to him, but I forced myself to remain strong and successfully ignored him.
A couple days later, I was walking alone from one class to another when Draco appeared out of nowhere and managed to corner me.
"Katie, please. I'm sorry!" He insisted. I cast my gaze to the floor and bit my lip, refusing to look at him. "I do trust you." I rolled my eyes. "The truth is, I was scared." My head snapped up and I narrowed my eyes at him. "I mean, look at you, Katie. You can have any guy you want but for some reason you chose me! You could easily leave me for someone much better and Nott was a reminder of that."
"That's crazy," I replied, shaking my head.
"It's true."
"Draco, YOU could get any girl YOU want. You shouldn't have to be scared. I don't want anyone else. I just want you."
His eyes lit up. "So you'll forgive me?"
I nodded. "Yes, Draco, I forgive you."
Draco broke into a big grin and stepped forward, encompassing me in a tight embrace. "Oh!" he stepped back and fished around in his pockets for a moment. "I believe this belongs to you."
I smiled and held my hand out to him. He took it in his and placed the ring back on my finger before bringing my hand to his lips and gently kissing it.
Giggling slightly, I moved closer and reached up to kiss him.
The bell rang across the castle, causing us to break apart.
"Shit. We're late for DA. Carrow's gonna be pissed!" Draco cursed.
I chuckled at his profanity and took his hand, leading him towards class. "Don't worry, I got this."
We arrived at the classroom and tried our best to quietly open the doors.
"Miss Snape and Mr. Malfoy, so glad you could join us. I trust you have an explanation as to why you're so late?" Professor Carrow questioned venomously.
"Sorry, Professor. My father wanted to speak with us in his office. He didn't give us a note, but I could go get one for you or you could ask him about it later," I lied smoothly.
