Draco's POV:
The lights turned back on and in a minute the train began to make its way towards Hogwarts again. "I'm going to go see what happened," I told Crabbe, Goyle, Maddie, and for some reason Pansy who claimed that she couldn't find where her friend was. As soon as I got out of the compartment, someone bumped into me. "Hey, watch where you're-" I turned to see who had run into me. It was Katie, my best friend. "Katie! It's you! Oh my gosh I can't believe I haven't seen you yet! You look amazing!" Did I just say that last part out loud? "Why aren't you sitting with us?"
She laughed, "I'm sitting with Hermione, Harry, and Ron. I found them first so I decided to sit with them. Wow, you've changed a lot!"
"I'm still the same Draco. Just longer hair-"
"and no gel, and wow, you're tall." She finished.
"Yeah I've grown a little." Once again, she laughed. "Hey, do you know what happened?"
"Huh?"
"You know, when the lights went off and the train stopped?"
"Oh yeah. Um, dementors were on the train searching for Sirius Black. One came to our compartment, but Professor Lupin made it go away with a patronus charm."
"You have a professor in your compartment?"
"Yeah, I guess everywhere else was full when the trio got on the train. He's the new DADA teacher. He gave Harry some chocolate to help him feel better when he woke up."
"Wait, Potter fainted? He actually fainted?!"
"Yes he did, but you don't need to make fun of him."
"That's priceless! I wish I was there to see him."
"Draco, come on now it could've happened to anyone. Please don't make fun of him."
"No promises."
She sighed, "Well I need to go change into my robes before we get to Hogwarts. I'll see you when we get there though." She hugged me then ran off. Wow. I dare say she's even more beautiful this year.
"Draco, what happened?" Maddie asked poking her head out of the compartment.
"Huh?"
"Why did the train stop?"
"Oh, that. Dementors searching for Sirius Black."
"Have you been standing here this whole time?"
"No, I ran into Katie."
She rolled her eyes before pulling me back into the compartment. "Come on lover boy, you're blocking the hallway."
Katie's POV
I looked up at the person I had run into to see that it was Draco.
"Hey watch where you're-" he stopped when he turned to see it was me. "Katie! It's you! Oh my gosh I can't believe I haven't seen you yet! You look amazing! Why aren't you sitting with us?"
I laughed at his rambling. "I'm sitting with Hermione, Harry, and Ron. I found them first so I decided to sit with them," I explained. "Wow, you've changed a lot!"
He really did look different. His hair was no longer gelled back and he had grown a lot taller. For some reason, I couldn't stop staring.
"I'm still the same Draco. Just longer hair-"
"and no gel, and wow, you're tall." I finished for him.
"Yeah I've grown a little." I laughed again. That wasn't even funny. Why did I laugh? "Hey, do you know what happened?"
