"DRACO!!!" I screamed as I sat up in bed, breathing heavily and drenched in sweat. I had just relived the fight that happened in the bathroom except you-know-who was there instead of Potter, and this time Draco was killed.

"Katie, are you alright?" Maddie asked from across the room, my screams had woken her up.

"I'll be fine, just go back to sleep," I assured her. She obliged almost immediately. Looking to my bedside table, I checked the time to see that it was five in the morning. There was no way I'd be able to fall back asleep so I decided to take a shower and then head to the hospital wing, not caring if it was too early to wander out in the halls. When I arrived at the doors to the wing, I found them to be locked just as I assumed they would be. Instead of turning around, I took a seat against the wall next to the doors and waited to be let in the wing in a couple hours. Madam Pomfrey would probably give me detention if I used a spell to let myself into the wing.

Hours later, the doors finally opened. "Miss Snape, how long have you been out here?!" She cried out in surprise upon seeing me sitting there.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't sleep and didn't know what else to do," I explained.

"Why didn't you knock and ask for a sleeping draught?" I shrugged and glanced past her towards Draco's temporary bed.

"How is he?" I asked quietly.

"He's been moving a bit more in the last few minutes. He should be up any minute now," she informed me.

I briefly nodded before walking past her and over to Draco, taking a seat in the chair next to his bed. A small groan escaped from his mouth and I grabbed his hand, giving it a light squeeze. "Draco," I whispered. His eyes flickered open, staring up at me. "You're awake! How are you feeling?"

"I've been better," he grunted. "How long have you been here?"

"Madam Pomfrey just let me in a minute ago. My dad sent word to your mother about what happened. She should be here later in the morning."

"Thank you, Katie. I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't gone to get your father. I-"

"This never would have happened in the first place if I would've been able to keep Potter from going in there," I admitted, looking down.

"Hey, look at me," I brought my blue eyes back up to his grey ones. "This was not your fault. I was the one who started the fight with Potter. He never would've done this if I hadn't tried to curse him first. I am fine. After I rest up, it'll be just like this had never happened."

"Do you promise?"

He pulled my hand, which was still holding his, up to his mouth and kissed it. "I promise." As he pulled his face away from my hand, he let out a yawn.

"You should sleep some more," I told him.

"You just got here though," he argued.

"I'm not going anywhere. Your mother will be here late morning so you have a couple hours. You should sleep before she gets here."

"Alright, but don't leave."

"I won't. I'll stay right here." He laid his head back on the pillow and fell back asleep a few minutes later. His hand was still holding mine but I didn't take my hand back. I sat there for around two hours before Narcissa came into the wing. Pulling my hand away from Draco, I stood up and walked over to her, giving her a hug. "He's fine. He just needs to rest and regain his strength," I informed her.

"I'm so glad you're here for him," she replied. "How long has he been sleeping?"

"About two hours."
