I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and a feeling of nausea. I swiftly moved to the bathroom, emptying my stomach contents into the toilet before sitting back on my feet. Looking around, I realized this was not my room, but rather Maddie and Blaise's. After washing my hands and face in the sink, I reentered the bedroom to find Blaise just sitting up from his makeshift bed on the floor.

"Hey there you are! How are you feeling?" he asked.

Ignoring his question, I countered, "What am I doing in here? What happened last night?"

"You mean you don't remember anything?" He questioned, standing up.

I shook my head. "No, the last thing I remember was Draco and I dancing at the party." He looked down at the floor, avoiding eye contact. "Blaise, what happened?" I demanded, fearing the worst.

"You had gotten quite drunk last night. Draco left you to go to the loo and when he came back you were sitting on the couch making out with Theodore Nott. He pulled you apart and then started to beat him up and told me to take you upstairs."

"What?! That's crazy! I would never intentionally cheat on Draco! Something must have happened to make me do such a thing. You said yourself I was drunk last night." Blaise remained silent and I shook my head. "I'm going to go talk to him."

I hurried out of the room and down the hallway, coming to a halt when I saw that Draco had moved my belongings out into the hall. Letting out a huff, I knocked on the door anyways. When he didn't answer right away, I tried to open it but found it to be locked.

"Draco, it's Katie. Please open up. We need to talk," I called.

Still no answer.

"Draco, please, just let me explain!"

After continuing to knock for another good 30 seconds or so, he finally opened the door.

"I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to see you, I don't want to talk to you, and I don't want to hear your excuses!" He yelled.

"But if you would just listen-"

"No! It's over, we're done. Just grab your things and go." He slammed the door in my face without another word.

I hit the door with my fist in anger before succumbing to his request to take my things with me.

Returning to Blaise's room, I dropped my stuff on the floor before collapsing on a bed in tears. "He already had all of my stuff waiting for me outside the door. He won't even listen to me. How can I explain that I never meant to do anything to hurt him if he won't even let me talk to him?"

Blaise came to sit down next to me and put an arm around my shoulders, attempting to comfort me. "Draco's still cooling off right now. He'll come to eventually, you'll see."

After sitting there awhile, trying to calm down, Blaise and I headed to breakfast. Draco was already in the hall, but we sat far enough away from him so as not to set him off again. I only ate a little bit of my food, the morning's events and my headache diminishing most of my appetite. As soon as I pushed my plate away, Dad came by the table.

"My office. Now," he demanded before walking away, expecting me to follow him.

I sighed, "This day just keeps getting better." When we arrived in his office, I shut the door behind me and began, "Look, Daddy I can explain-"

Dad pulled me into a tight embrace, taking me by surprise. "Are you alright?"

Despite my efforts, I began to tear up again. "No," I confessed.
