About a week later, Draco and I left the Great Hall after lunch, said good-bye to Maddie as she departed from us to go to Ancient Runes, and began to make our way to Care of Magical Creatures class. Yawning, I exclaimed, "I'm tired."

"How late did you stay up last night?" Draco asked.

"I don't know maybe two?" I replied in between yawns.

"What were you doing all that time?"

"Nothing," I answered tersely. What had happened was that I was just about to drop off to dreamland when lyrics popped into my head. Swiftly, I grabbed a quill and parchment to write them all down. More and more lyrics came floating into my head and I had to jot them down before I could rest. I had some ideas for the music part, but until I'm able to get an instrument it is basically just a poem. Hopefully Father will give me a guitar this year for Christmas.

"OK then, don't tell me. Crabbe, Goyle take our books," Draco commanded.

"Why?" I asked as Goyle grabbed my books.

"Hop on my back," Draco told me as he crouched down in front of me.

"What?"

"I said hop on my back. I'll give you a piggy back ride to class," he explained.

"OK," I said tentatively. Carefully climbing onto his back, I grasped my arms around his neck and prepared for the ride. At first we walked slowly, then picked up speed going down hill until he broke into a run. I screamed in surprise. By the time we had gotten to Hagrid's hut, I was laughing and Draco was out of breath. Draco let me down. "Hey," I said, placing my hands on my hips. "I'm not that heavy." He just laughed and blamed the running for his shortness of breath.

After a boring class about flobber worms, we made our way back to the common room to do our homework before dinner. I got my homework done in a matter of minutes because I'm just that smart so I lied down on the couch and used Draco's lap as a pillow. Fighting to stay awake did no good as my eyelids slid shut and I fell asleep.

Draco's POV

I watched Katie sleep for a while after finishing my homework. Noticing that she was asleep, I had decided not to get up and wake her. "Attention everyone, Maddie Jenkins has entered the building!" Maddie shouted as she entered the common room. Quickly, I hushed her and pointed at Katie to tell Maddie that she was sleeping. Katie's face scrunched up, as if disturbed by the sudden loudness, and then relaxed again. Maddie nodded and quietly sat down on the couch opposite of us. Slowly, Katie's hair fell into her face. I gently brushed it away. "It's almost time for dinner. We should head to the Great Hall." Reluctantly, I woke Katie up. She seemed at peace when she was sleeping.

"Katie, wake up. It's time for dinner." She moaned, telling me she didn't want to get up. "Come on. Don't make me go get Seamus," I threatened.

"I'm laying on you, you can't get up stupid," she mumbled.

Dang. "OK, but I could do this." I began to mess her hair up and she snapped up quickly.

"Okay, okay I'm up!" She started to run her fingers through her hair and hurried out of the common room to the Great Hall. Maddie and I laughed as we tried to catch up. Once we had sat down at the Slytherin table, she finished combing through her hair and asked, "How do I look?"

Amazing as always, I thought. "You look, you look. Ahhh you look-" She looked away.

"Maddie, is my hair better now?" Maddie nodded then shot me a glare. Great! Now what did I do? Why couldn't I just answer truthfully and say that she looked amazing?!  On the way back to the common room after dinner, Maddie pulled me to the side.
