"Half an hour to go," said Aiden, looking at his watch, but the Potato's didn't seem to be listening—or they were trying but couldn't because of the ruckus outside.

Reporters shoved into their tent, each one opening up the flap and speaking louder than the rest. It was partially Aiden's fault, but whatever.

The current yaksha who opened up their tent was a yellow, pudgy little man with two horns sticking out of his head and a microphone in his hand. "Hi! I'm here from the NBC, the Night Bazaar Channel. We heard that one of you is a direct descendant of the apsara Malini? Can you comment on this—I SAID, BACK OFF, ARNOLD, OR YOU'LL GET THE HORNS—"

Aiden sighed rubbing his temples. Maybe telling the guy at the front about his mom wasn't the best idea. He could've gotten away with smouldering alone.

"My interview!" shouted someone else at the tent. "I was here first!"

"Oh my gods," said Brynne, looking at the front of the tent in dismay.

"But who are the other performers? Are the also apsara descendants? WHY WON'T YOU TELL US ANYTHING? THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING—Oh no, not you Spence. You're doing great camera work, believe me!"

Aiden stopped listening. It never ceased to amaze him on how these people only care about getting their own information whilst a war was about to happen. On top of that, the prophecy...

He stole a glance at Aru who looked at the flap of the tent, eagerly listening to the reporter's conversations, tambourine in hand.

POP!

Aiden's gaze was redirected to the front of the tent. The tent's flap opened up, revealing a brown paper package that floated in the tent.

"Urgent delivery for a Mr. Aiden Acharya!" announced the package, before it dropped itself onto the ground.

Aiden and the rest of the Potatoes moved closer to the package, looking at the note taped to the top, written in big, loopy letters.

S. saw that you might need this .

The helmets should block Aiden's hypnotic apsara stuff

so no one does anything embarrassing...again >:)

P.S.: The tambourine? hahaha

"Amazing," said Aru, sternly looking at the package. "Little sisters can troll you at any distance."

Brynne scowled and reached for the package, tearing off the brown paper that concealed the contents. Whatever was in the package glowed brightly and Aiden had to take his eyes away from the sight because they started to hurt.

As the glowing dimmed down, he looked back at the package and saw Aru grin from the corner of his eye. "Helloooo, shiny," she said grinning even wider.

As young as she was — Nikita was incredible. She'd made each of them a whole new outfit, consisting of shiny pants, matching blazers and a jewelled helmet that tied it all together.

Aiden looked at himself in the mirror. Nikita had given him emerald green. He noticed most his clothes designed by her was either green—like the ski suits she'd made them for their encounter with Jambhavan in the tundra—or black—like the kurta she'd made for the wedding at the beginning of their quest.
