Aftermath, Part 72

It had been several days since Nyx and Solaris made their escape. The Emperor had returned to Rome and avoided any public appearances. Meanwhile, Mark Anthony sent word that he had scoured the countryside and wanted to meet with Spartacus and the rebellion leaders to discuss next steps.

"Now that we have Capua under our control, we should focus on finding the watchmaker and repairing all the sentinels left behind by Solaris," suggested Mer-mer.

"And we shouldn't forget about fixing the bird-ruh," added Shadowcat. "It could help us navigate through the desert and Wildlands before reaching the Dead Marshes and necromancers' territory."

"I want to join you on this mission," said Scorpion, who had fallen out of favor since his failed attempt to assassinate the Emperor.

"That's great," Mer-mer replied."Any other suggestions?" asked Spartacus.

"I propose going to Rome and gauging public opinion. If I can meet with some senators, we may be able to form an alliance," suggested Caius.

"A fine idea," agreed Spartacus.

"As a former pirate, I also have a suggestion," said Ragnar. "Lanita and I can travel south to meet with Sicilian pirates. Perhaps we can convince them to lend their army to our cause and spark a rebellion in Africa., in overseas territories of the roman empire."

"That's a good idea," said Julia. "I'll stay here with Spartacus and fortify our camp, as well as gather any escaped slaves."

"I think we can utilize the abandoned gladiator school to train new fighters," added Spartacus. "Since Batiatus fled, it has been sitting empty."

"Excellent idea, Spartacus," praised Julia.

At that moment, Vespera spoke up for the first time.

 "We have all witnessed the power of Solaris and Nyx. If it weren't for Lord Azrael, we would all be dead. I believe it's time to seek out the Druid Covenant and awaken the Ancients. Only their healing magic can restore the land from the dark sorcery of Solaris and Nyx."

It was the calm before the storm and everyone knew it. They had to prepare well because next time Lord Azrael might not be around to save them...
