"My name is Julia, for those who don't know me!" the Roman womаn said with unwavering confidence. "I've fought Spartacus since we were gladiators, and I know the gravity of the situation. Solaris grows stronger with each passing day, and his machines are relentless in their pursuit."
Lanita stepped forward, her eyes sparkling with fiery determination. "We need every capable fighter you can muster. It is not just our lives at stake, but the fate of all kingdoms!"
Julia nodded, her gaze sweeping over the group gathered behind Spartacus. "If we are to have any chance against him, we must act quickly and strategically. Many here have already faced Solaris' forces - some of us have lost good friends to his machinations."
Mer-Mer felt a sense of empathy wash over him as he surveyed the tired faces around the fire; each bore their scars of battles fought and lost. "We know of his plans," he spoke, his voice steady but full of urgency. "He seeks to unite our worlds under his rule, using ancient magic that can plunge us into chaos."
The camp fell silent, the tension thickening the air as Julia took in this information.
"Then we need to gather information on what he plans next." She gestured to a group of rebels gathered nearby. "Listen! We need scouts to monitor movements and find out what Solaris is doing and where he might strike next."
Julia stepped forward again. "And we need to beef up our defenses. I recommend making a perpetual encampment high and fortified in the mountains; if we are discovered here in the field, many will perish.
"I suggest that Spartacus with me and part of the gladiators head south , to start the flames of the rebellion. Another part will head north to Rome and plunder the estates of the rich patricians and free all the slaves. Lanita and Ragnar will go into the city and look for the clockmaker or someone who understands mechanisms. If we can fix the broken sentinels and get them on our side, it will make us stronger. Shadow-cat and Mer-Mer and will descend on Death Valley and try to learn what Solaris' plans are. Vespera, being a healer can stay in the camp and heal the sick and wounded gladiators. Any I missed?"
"Well , I call ",Caius, what is my task.
"There's a special assignment for you. You know the Capua school of gladiators well. You will sneak in there and start the rebellion there. Just to warn you. Don't trust Medicus too much."
Shadow-Kat eyed the rebels with keen interest, primal instincts awakening in her as she assessed their combat potential. "We should train together," she suggested decisively. "Share tactics and skills; we'll need every advantage when we face Solaris."
Ragnar was uncharacteristically silent, but finally spoke with a broad smile. "And let's not forget about the feast! If we survive this battle, we'll need to blow off some steam!" He threw a punch into the air as if taunting the unseen opponent.
Lanita laughed, but couldn't hide her smile. "You're infuriating sometimes, you know that?"
As the plans around them quickly took shape, Vespera approached Mer-Mer quietly, her eyes concerned but determined. "You've changed since you awakened your abilities among those shadows... an unholy bond has formed between you and that demon."
"What do you mean?" Mer-Mer retorted, uncertainty creeping into his tone."I fear it gives great power," she warned gently, "but such power comes at a terrible price. You must learn to control it before it consumes you completely."
Mer-Mer swallowed hard as she remembered Nyx's warnings to trust this dark entity within her; could she use her power without being corrupted? Before he could answer, Julia brought everyone back into focus.
"Preparations must begin immediately! We have been called to war!" She raised her fist high in solidarity, urging the others to follow suit in a rallying cry.
As the adrenaline surged again and a sense of unity blossomed on the clearing, Mer-Mer caught the eyes of each of her companions - fighting together was no longer just about survival, but about forging alliances that transcended individual desires and prejudices.
The Valley of Death is a vast desert that is not only difficult to cross but sand beasts... I've heard of sand worms that are as big as houses и cannibals that live in the oases" said the Shadow-cat.
"What do you suggest, "Mer-mer asked.
"I suggest that we go into town with Ragnar and Lanita and look for the clockmaker. If we can fix the bird-rock that landed in the mountains, we can use it to carry us wherever we want..."
"I think that's a good idea," said Mer-mer. "It won't take us more than a few days to find someone who understands mechanisms ..."
