The radiant light surged forth, illuminating the chamber with a brilliance that banished the cloying darkness. The Seven Horsemen recoiled, their forms wavering as the shadows that cloaked them began to dissolve like mist under the morning sun. Alric's heart raced with renewed vigor, and he felt the power of his companions surrounding him like a shield.
"Now!" Alric shouted, raising his sword high. "Strike them down before they have a chance to reform!"
With a unified cry, the heroes charged forward. The air thrummed with energy as they closed in on their foes. War swung his venom-dripping sword, but Alric deftly dodged, his own blade slicing through the haze of shadows that attempted to gather around him.
Odin stood firm to face Death, whose skeletal form now seemed more tangible in the light. With every swing of his staff, Odin unleashed waves of brilliant energy that forced Death back, each strike tearing at the fabric of despair that sought to envelop them.
"Your time has come!" Odin roared as he summoned a tempest of light around him, driving Death backward into the waiting arms of Colin and Roku.
Colin nocked an arrow imbued with shimmering light and fired it straight into Death's chest. The Horseman howled as radiant energy burst forth from the arrow's impact, sending ripples of brilliance spiraling outward. Death staggered and fell to one knee, grasping at the wound.
"Your poison is nothing but a shadow!" Roku declared defiantly and finishes Death off with an arrow to the heart.
Moira rallied alongside her friends, her staff glowing like a beacon as she stepped toward Famine. "You will feast no longer!" she cried out. With a swift motion, she released a wave of healing magic that engulfed Famine and washed over her like cleansing rain.
Famine screamed as Moira's light pierced through her decaying form, unraveling the twisted magic that had sustained her existence. "No! I will not be unmade!" she shrieked as she was consumed by the very light meant to save others.
Meanwhile, Lust lurked at the edges of chaos, trying to weave her web of seduction around Alric's thoughts once more. "Why fight against your desires?" she purred sweetly. "You could have everything you've ever wanted if you simply give in."
But Alric shook his head vehemently, steel in his gaze as he faced her. "I fight for what matters! Not for fleeting pleasure or hollow promises!"
In that instant of clarity and conviction, Lust's allure faltered. Enraged by Alric's defiance, she lunged toward him with her dagger drawn. But before she could reach him, Moira stepped into the fray beside Alric.
"Your deceit will not work here!" Moira shouted, raising her staff in defiance. The subsequent blast of radiant energy erupted forth once again and collided with Lust's form like a tidal wave crashing against an embankment.
As light met darkness in furious collision, Lust's seductive facade shattered revealing an anguished specter behind it—barely able to withstand against its own nature crumbling into nothingness.
With a battle cry that echoed through the cavernous depths, Alric lunged forward, his sword shimmering with the light of hope. The radiant energy from the amulets cascaded over him, amplifying his resolve as he charged at War, who was reeling from the brilliance that had stripped away the darkness concealing his true form.
"I will not let you harm anyone else!" Alric declared, his voice ringing with conviction as he brought his blade down upon War. The strike landed with a resounding clang, and an explosion of light surged through the air, disintegrating the remnants of shadow that clung to the Horseman.
"Fool!" War screamed as he gasped under the assault. "You think you can hurt me with mere steel?"
With a swift swing of his blade aimed straight towards War's heart, Alric's sword clashed against War's serrated blade in a shower of sparks. The light from the amulets flared between them like a star igniting from within.
War let out a furious roar as he pushed back against Alric's strike. "You think your little tricks will overcome centuries of chaos?"
Alric pressed harder; he could feel Lyra's spirit whispering encouragement in his heart—urging him to harness every ounce of strength for this final battle.
"Fools!" War bellowed, gripping his venom-dripping sword tightly. "You think this light will save you? You are still mortals—weak and fragile!"
But Alric felt an unyielding strength surge through him as he raised his sword high, the blade shimmering with radiant light. "We are not weak! We are united, and together we stand stronger than any darkness you can muster!"
With a fierce battle cry, he lunged forward, slashing at War with all his might. The blade met the Rider's armor with a blinding flash, sending shockwaves rippling through the air as he broke through the barrier of darkness that surrounded him.
"Time to die!" Alric shouted as his sword flew straight piercing through War's facade until its grotesque formunraveled into nothingness.
Behind Alric, Colin fired arrow after arrow at Deception and Pestilence, each shot infused with the golden glow of their newfound power. Each arrow struck true, igniting bursts of light that seared through their dark forms like fire through parchment. "You will not feed on despair any longer!" she shouted, her heart aching for all those who had suffered under their tyranny.
Moira stood firm beside her son, her staff raised high as she summoned waves of healing energy that washed over her companions and swept away their wounds. "We fight for those who have been lost!" she cried out, channeling every ounce of strength within her. "We will not allow your darkness to prevail!"
The battlefield shifted as chaos erupted around them; Pestilence hissed in fury as Colin's arrows found their mark, but even as he stumbled back, Deception flickered to life beside him. "You think you can win?" she sneered, her voice dripping with contempt. "Your unity is a fleeting illusion! I will unravel it!"
As if summoned by her words, Chaos laughed with glee, darting around them in a whirlwind of colors that threatened to disorient and confuse. "What if I showed you their darkest fears?" it cackled. "What if I could unravel your minds?"
But amidst the swirling chaos and deceptive illusions, Alric kept his focus sharp. He sensed Lyra's presence still flickering behind the veil of shadows; her spirit was entwined with theirs in this battle for life and hope. "Stay strong!" he called out to his friends. "We have faced our fears before—we can do so again!"
Just then, Odin stepped up beside Alric, his staff glowing brighter than ever as he prepared to unleash a wave of sacred energy against Deception and Chaos combined. "Let us show them what true resolve looks like!" With a mighty strike of his staff against the stone floor, radiant sigils sprang forth—an emblem of protection glowing fiercely in defiance against the encroaching darkness.
Light exploded outward like a shockwave; shadows recoiled and shrieked as they were caught by surprise. War staggered backward while Chaos shrieked in fury at the loss of their advantage.
"NO! THIS CANNOT BE!" roared Pestilence as Colin unleashed another arrow straight at him—imbued with pure light that pierced through his decaying form like sunlight through fog.
"Your reign of terror ends here!" Colin shouted defiantly as Pestilence evaporated into wisps of shadow before them.
"Only Deception and Chaos left," cried out Odin." We can do it! "
