We got home and found a bunch of power shards on the kitsch table—one for each of us. I grabbed my first, closed my eyes, and used it. I could see my body being engulfed in flames. It seemed like some type of flame armor that I could transfer to my katana. I saw myself doing a slash, which sent out the slash beam, but the katana was engulfed in the huge flame aura.
Eva used her next. Eva could see herself using an ability to manipulate the absence of something or someone at any place, event, etc. That ability is beneficial since it can easily make anyone think they aren't there or why they aren't there and cause stillness that reflects motion and emptiness that repels matter. Chris's new ability was a solar eye and face blast. Once he powers up and gains enough solar energy, he can shoot it out of his mouth or eyes. But if he gains too much solar energy and shoots it out, he'll drain himself more quickly or hurt himself.
Tyler has the same powers; it's an electricity armor that protects him and can send out bolts if someone gets too close to him. He can then fuse the electricity through his lance and shoot it out of his lance. Leona got all of our abilities, which makes sense. She's a summoner, and summoners can get the same powers as everyone. Her dragon still has the same powers, but she can now use other wyverns; she just needs to tame them to do so. Miriam didn't get a new shard, as she should get used to her powers before she uses another. Also, your future self, Samantha, didn't use one either, as she's already powerful as is.
Last was Chloe, but something weird happened when she used hers. She "got" the power of absolute zero as she can make the area she's in become so cold to her enemy that it gets below negative 600c. But the strange thing is that everyone except me started seeing a vision of someone talking to them, saying, "You can not let the other version of Eva die no matter what. If she does, then everything will start to collapse". "Who the hell was that?" Chris asked. "Whoever it is, we should probably listen to them. It's pretty much what Dylan said. We can free all of them. So let's just do it," Tyler said. "Well, what should we do now?" Eva asked. "Let's just rest until we can hear about what this other thing we need to do later is. Let's all get a nap," Jacqueline recommended. "Yeah, I say we should. I'm tired as hell," Chris said. "Alright, to sleep, I go," Eva said happily, carrying Miriam. "Just make sure you're awake and get up when and if we need you," Tyler said.
After four hours, Eva woke me up and told me to get dressed since she, Chris, Tyler, and Leona were going out with Sashi to the location Leona described to us when she heard the voices earlier. I got ready and met up with Eva and Leona. We flew out to meet Chris and Tyler, who were already at the location with Sashi. We finally made it, and once we did, Leona said she could hear the voice, but there were multiple voices now. "I can't understand a damn thing they are saying, but this is annoying," Leona said. "Don't worry. Using technology, I can receive what you hear and translate it...this will take a day...what is this language?" Cubie asked, confused about what he was hearing. We made it to the house and saw that there was still police tape still around the house.
"I don't know about this one," Tyler said, looking scared. "What, you scared chicken?" Chris said to him, laughing. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Tyler said, annoyed. We reached the door and tried to open it, but it was locked. Sashi kicked the door entirely down, allowing us to walk in. The house was ultimately a mess. The wallpaper was ruined and peeling off, the bare walls were rotten, the floor was sticky and dirty. That was just the living room. The kitchen food was rotten and looked worse than the living room. "Damn, voices are stronger in this room. I think we're close to something. The hallway." Leona said, looking up at the hallway. We all looked as well and could see the wall was covered entirely with blood stains. We walked into the hallway and were shocked. Leona's father's body was still on the ground, and in Leona's room, her mom's body was on the floor. "Why did the police not take away the bodies?" Chris asked. "Because they were killed," Sashi said, pointing to the next room, which was her parent room.
We looked and saw six police officers' bodies all over the room, rotting. "This is sick," Tyler said, looking ill. "This isn't as bad as the stuff I saw early on. All I saw was death, especially from a man who saw himself as the ruler of a territory, a dragon possessing a dragoon and killing a lot, a man who was very powerful to the point he was just a shard of me and others and another man who just wanted friends but still caused so much death." Sashi said. "Do you have PTSD, Sashi?" Tyler asked. "No...just have regrets.
"The people Miriam was talking about. They do this, you think?" I asked Sashi. "I wouldn't be surprised if they did this," Sashi said. We then heard something behind us. When we turned around, the soul of Leona's father was coming out of him and flying all over the place before shooting into a closet in the parent's room. "Leona?" Chris calls out to Leona. "Something is in there," Leona says. "Well, no shit," Chris says back. We noticed the closet starting to glow, and it opened up. It's a scythe; the soul goes around it, lifting it up and giving it to Leona, making a copy, and giving it to Eva before going into Leona's scythe. "Father?" Leona calls out to him, looking at her scythe. The scythe lifts out of Leona's hands and glows green.
"Hello. It's been far too long," The scythe says. "Father, you're in the scythe," Leona tells him. "I know. I have nowhere else to go as this place is a hell." He says. "Were you talking to me somehow?" Leona ask. "Yes, that was me. But do not mind these other voices you hear. I think these are the same voices your mother heard before everything," He tells Leona. "What are they saying?" Tyler asked. "Even though I have been here for years, I don't understand them. I just thought they were talking shit to me, and one of the voices was your mother, but I don't know." He tells us. Can we get out of here, please? I hate this place."
