Chapter 44 Distracted

"You okay, hun?" I asked Chris, trying to see how he was doing after the previous day. "I'm fine. I don't even want to know why she changed or...no, she didn't change, she was always like this," Chris said, building a toy brick set with Samantha. "Well, what do we do now? You're pregnant, so now we're down one person." Tyler said, concerned. "That won't stop me at all. We still have to keep fighting until the end, no matter what," I told him. Eva wanted to say something, but turned away from me to play with the dog. "Hey...the ice king and queen would like to train you all," Cubie said. But none of us said anything. "I'll let them know you all don't want to," Cubie said, but Eva stopped him, telling him we would show up. "Here's the location. Let's go!" Cubie chirped, trying to cheer us up and dancing around us in his orb.

We all flew out but were confused. "This seems like a whole country... It's so pretty here," Chris said, amazed. "Why were we never told about them? It seemed like everyone else knew who they were. Eva was kind of annoyed. "It's because we were not needed. After the war, we all went into hiding to build our own country, but then we heard of what was going on and decided to come out of hiding." King Joseph told us over the coms as we were getting closer to their ice castle. 'So many things different from how I wrote it, all a headache," Chloe said, getting upset. "We will fix it all and return to our real world," Jacqueline told her. "Sure," Chloe said, not sounding confident.

We finally made it, saw two huge ice guards standing next to a door, and at first didn't want to let us in until one of them looked down at a list and nodded to the other. "You can enter," The guard on the left said to us, opening the door. We walked into a beautiful castle with so much room in it. Entering it made it much bigger than it was on the outside. "Maybe we should turn our place into a huge castle," Eva suggested. "You know how much time that would take?" I asked her. "I mean, we should try it. It would be a lot of fun and some good exercise," Tyler said, flexing a little, as Eva pokes his muscles.

"Alright, so where do we train?" Tyler asked. "Over there," A tall buff guard led us to the training room, which was also very large, which shocked us, but I don't know why, since everywhere was large. "Alright, not much for me fighting you all. You'll fight these four, who you might know already," Germaine said to us as we saw Demi, Felix, and Matthew walking out of a room in the training room in ice armor.

"Whoa, you guys have been here the whole time?" Eva asked them. "Yup, we have! We've been training a lot and think we're getting closer to being ready to help you all out," Demi said excitedly. "Well, shall you all test yourself against someone stronger than you and your friends? Germaine asked them. All three of them nodded yes and got ready to fight us. Demi pulled out a sharp ice guitar sword, Felix was an ice axe, and Matthew was an ice mage. "Isn't this a little unfair? It's six on three. Chloe and Jacqueline aren't fighting, so yeah, it's six on three." Eva said, worried, "We're ready for anything. COME ON!" Matthew yelled out, ready for us. "Alright then," Eva said, shrugging as we all charged each other. Eva and I went after Demi, while Chris and Tyler went after Felix. Samantha and Leona went after Matthew.

"SOUNDWAVE!!" Eva yelled out, shooting out a soundwave through the ground to hit Demi, but Demi played her guitar loudly and sent one out herself, which clashed with Eva's as both got canceled out. Eva was shocked and distracted enough that Demi's loud guitar sound knocked her back, before she focused again and rushed Demi with me. We keep attacking Demi, but Demi was not easily going down against our strikes at all, as she was able to keep up with a two-on-one, even using her ice blast to stop anything Eva and I do power-wise. "How?" Eva was confused. "All the training we had them do really helped and changed them, didn't it?" Germaine asked, smiling. "Of fuck it," Eva said, powering up all the way. At first, we didn't want to but did the same and started fighting again, which let us win easily that time. "The fact you had to do that to beat them means either you all are getting weaker, distracted, or I trained you too well...It better be, I trained them well enough to be more powerful than you all," Germaine said, giving us an evil smile. "We were betrayed by someone we thought was truly with us...we thought they enjoyed us and wanted to always help...the same person who raised me after everything with me of course were off" Chris said getting angry with Germaine. "Well, calm down now, hun. I was just making a small joke. I understand how you feel, but if you're going to be like this, then you might as well pack up. You being this down for yourselves and distracted isn't going to do anything for anyone and will end up getting yourselves killed as well as this whole...multiverse of whatever ruined by Chloe's evil version," Germaine explained to us. "Come on, you all. You have to do this. Now...AGAIN!" Germaine yelled out as we all fought each other again. "AGAIN!" She said again for round three. We keep going and going, using more and more energy. "Now, fight each other. Let's see what happens when you all battle each other," Germaine said as we turned and fought each other in a free-for-all. It was a long battle, but in the end, Tyler won. I sat out the rest of the fight, as I didn't want to deal with it.

After that, we all felt better, though I could tell in Chris's mind now that, instead of asking Ashley questions, it would start to kill her. Though I don't blame him but, I think it would be best to figure out fully what's going on with her since her reason seemed off to say the least. Well, we would have had to deal with her again right away. "Urgent message from Chris's father," Cubie told us. "We're being attacked at the base. Ashley, I..." The call cut off on Junko. "DAMN IT!!" Chris yelled out as we all quickly flew out to the Japanese base. "What is going on?!" Soma yelled out to us as she and Kato caught up to us. "We're here to help out," Rey said as he and Rosa joined us as we finally made it to the base. "LOOK!" Leona yelled out. We all looked down and saw a massive group of mages attacking the base and trying to get inside of it. "COME ON! TOUCHDOWN!!!" Eva yelled out as all of us went down at a rapid speed, causing an explosion that hurt a large number of the mages. We fought and defended the base, but more and more keep coming. "NEED A GIANT?!" We heard from Bella as she, Ophelia, and Nikolai arrived in their giant form, lending us a hand. However, as we were taken in by the mages, some androids appeared and started shooting at us. But luckily, Nikolai's wind magic was able to blow them down, so we could get rid of them on the ground.

"Is it over?" Junko said, out of breath. "Yeah, looks like it," Rosa said. "We may need to relocate this base. The fact that they targeted it is causing me to feel uneasy." A mouse woman said, coming out. "My name is Stella, and I was born in Australia. Lovely country and no, we don't have spiders like everyone says we do...sometimes. I am one of three leaders of my race, and others like us teach people how to use their powers. We had to, since we were pretty much afraid to come out. We stayed hidden for so long until Junko found us and helped us during an attack. We lose people... I still feel sick to my stomach about it, and I even have PTSD about it. But we're here and have more people, and thanks to you all, we're safe, for now." Stella explained to us. Stella was a blue long-haired mouse with light blue eyes and a ribbon on her mouse tail. "Hopefully you're not scared of nekos," Miriam said, licking herself. Luckily no. You nekos don't scare us not one bit."

Stella said jokingly, but sounded intense. "I sense a little bad blood," Chris said. "There's a little bit. There have been some bad nekos before, but I promise I'm not one of them, and the ones we help aren't," Miriam said to calm Stella down a bit. "Good. Let's keep it that way. I don't want to lose more people, no matter what race they are. With how cute you are, I don't... never mind," Stella said, blushing a little. "A little flirty, I see," Miriam jokingly said. Stella wanted to say something, but didn't. "Pregnant and still fighting at full power, my, aren't you special?" Pele said, appearing suddenly in front of us. "Who is this?" Stella asked. "That's Pele, a Hawaiian god of fire and volcanoes," Eva told her. "Ohhhh," Stella was amazed by how Pele looked and who she was. "Well, I'm not here to show off, just to give you a heads up that I sense something happening again. I sense a doom's day event about to happen."
