Chapter 46 Powering To Max

"So...tired," I said, having to sit and hold my stomach. "You okay?" Tyler asked me. "Feels like something kicked me," I said, rubbing my belly. "It's the baby," Chris said, sounding joyful. "Did my power come from her?" I asked. "It did. Your bundle of joy gave you a lot of energy...which is unusual for it to already be reacting to you this early. I say you might be giving birth very soon," Pele said, appearing next to us. "Oh boy," Chris said, not sounding joyful anymore. "Don't worry. You should be able to use your magic to bring the baby into the world when the time is right. Which I would say is the day after you beat your world one version, Chris. Hopefully," Pele told us.

"Well, Amanda was free to get the monster parts. Now, before Rachel gives birth, let's open the crate and see what's in it," Sashi said. We opened the crate and were hit with a large amount of darkness energy, knocking us back. The energy was spreading everywhere, but then it all came back. Chris said as he started shooting her, I did the same, as well as Leona and Eva began to shoot too, but Terra just ignored the bullets, and as her body started. To glow from the darkness.

"What the fuck?" Tyler said, getting up worried. Terra then reached into her stomach, pulled out a shard of darkness, and handed it to us. "Will need this...will help weaken it. Don't break it yet." She said before walking away, then turning into a shadow and going away. "What the hell?" Sashi was confused, just like all of us. "Why did she do that? Better yet, do you think we can trust this?" Tyler asked. "Best we give it to our smart people to figure that out. But first, you okay, hun?" Chris asked me.

"I'm fine. My energy seems to be going back to normal," I told them. "That power was amazing. Need to tap into it more," Roku said. Anger seemed to be honest. But why did my anger now do this?" I asked. "Best you go to Ophelia with that one and Rey," Sashi told me. "Well, I'll stop by Ophelia first. You all take the shard back to the Japanese base." I told them. "I'm coming to," Chris said. "No, you go back. I'll be fine," I told him. "I refuse," He said back. I wanted to tell him no again, but everyone had already taken off.

We flew out to where Rey was and saw him playing with his daughter and son outside with Rosa. "I sense something off about you two. A bonded power," Rey said, confused. "It seems weak, though," Rosa says. "Rachel's anger with this strange power mixed with darkness. It made a phoenix, and I was also able to tap into it," Chris explained. "Her power is Phoenix. And if your anger is what awakens that power, then that means you need to make yourself angry just to try and tame it," Rosa said. "I don't know if her being angry will help. With the power she has, if she snaps too badly, she might just burn everything," Rey said. "But our child seemed to help." Chris said, "Really? hmmm" Rey was stunned and confused "INTENSE TRAINING TIME!!" Ophelia said over the coms. "That hurt my ear. And how did you hear us anyway?" Rosa asked. "You turned on your com by accident," Ophelia told her. "Oh," Rosa said, turning it off. "Stop by my house, and we will get you two into an intense training. Fuck it, all of you show up," Ophelia said, sounding excited.

Once we arrived and walked into the training room, we immediately felt an intense energy enter the room. We looked and saw Ophelia, who was giving us an evil smile, but her body was black, with the only things shiny being her eyes, glowing gold, and her scales, horns, and tail, bright purple. "What the hell is this power?" Leona said, worried. "Well, good luck, everyone. If you really need the help, Jacqueline and I will give you a small boost. But you all should be ready." Chloe said as she and Jacqueline watched.

We all powered up and charged at Ophelia, who, for some reason, was extremely quick. "The fuck she go?" Eva said before getting clotheslined down into the ground. We all couldn't react fast enough as Ophelia opened her mouth and fired a large energy beam, hitting Miriam and Leona. "PHOENIX!" I yelled out, summoning my large Phoenix. "PHOENIX JOIN ME!" Chris yelled as his body started to glow just like mine from last time. We both caused Phoenix to unleash a large beam out of her mouth to hit Ophelia, but Ophelia dodged it. *Damn it,* Chris said as some of Phoenix's energy went into his sword and into my katana with Roku and Yorisue helping to power it up. Phoenix then dives into the ground, giving everyone a boost of energy. *Let's do it then,* Eva said, getting up from the ground, talking to Tyler as Tyler floats in the air, as electricity starts charging him. Ophelia tries to stop him, but Miriam and Samantha hold her back as Tyler fully powers up. His body starts to turn black, with glowing blue cracks, and electricity crackles around him. Eva's body does the same, with void energy spots appearing on her like freckles, and her hands glow entirely purple. "I don't care if I'm just a summoner, you nor anyone else will." Leona summoned her arcane gun and her Xeno as their bodies glowed with white energy. "No matter if I'm just a cat, I will keep doing what I have to do to protect Leona and everyone around her. I failed already and feel stupid to lose her for all those years, but not anyone I can't." Miriam said calmly as her body turned black, glowing with ice shards, and a snow aura formed around her.

"We can't fail anymore. We keep failing over and over, each time I see everyone die, everyone I love, everyone I know. I can't see that anymore. I CAN'T!!!" Samantha yelled out as her body didn't glow, but her energy spiked massively, matching ours. Her eyes glowed white, and every element she knew was pulsing through the veins of her body. "Good! Now try and kill me," Ophelia said, powering up all the way as we all started to make the whole room shake violently. I closed my eyes, placed my hands on my stomach, and felt my child's hands on mine, giving me more energy. "A girl? Little Samantha is already being useful." Ophelia said, smiling. "You know it's a girl?" I asked. "Easy for me to figure that out. She's growing up quickly, I see," Ophelia said. "Enough talk, let's throw some hands already," Eva said impatiently.
