Chapter 21 Counterpart

We prepared to leave but then felt a strange energy while we were inside the house. We ran out to see a portal above the house that was draining energy from the house. We then heard cries and saw souls leaving the house and entering the portal. We tried to blast the portal, but it was ineffective. Once the portal removed the souls, we saw a figure in a robe floating down to us. "So it is true. I feel you're not fully a problem just yet, but you will be soon," The female in the robe said. "Yes, we are. And who may you be?" Chris said before realizing it was my counterpart. "So you realize. Good. I would kill you, but I will cheer you on for defeating Zelina. Maybe you can take out Eva in 3 days. That is 5 days before Christmas, right? If only you could celebrate it with the mortals like you always did before. But oops, they are upset, and chaos is happening. Looking a lot red down there, too." My counterpart said to us. "But before I leave, do you have any questions for me? May not get another chance," She asked us. "Why not kill us now? Where's my mom? And What are Eva's true plans?" Leona asked.

"Your mother is with us. While you were leaving, I went in and took her body as well as your father's. Hello, sir, in scythe. Hope you don't mind *giggles*" She responded. "Asshole," Leona's father said. "I won't kill you because you are very useful; the longer you are alive and the more powerful you get, the more it's worth defeating you. If Eva defeats you, then that's a lot of energy she can gather from you all until there's none left, and then you're useless." She told us. "So that's what you're doing with Bahument, too. Eva already had his energy and even put it into Zelina's body." Leona tells my counterpart. "But there's still more to drain from him until he is useless. You cannot defeat her, but if you do, I'll be impressed. Now it's getting late. Bye-bye," my counterpart says before snapping her figures and causing the house to blow up. "I'm not a real estate agent, but I don't think anyone would have bought that house anyways, so whatever," World One Rachel says before leaving. "What a fucking mess. Let's go back to safety," Leona's dad said.

We returned to the house and told Chloe, Jacqueline, Amanda, Dylan, and Samantha everything. "Sadly without your body mr..." Dylan stops since he doesn't know Leona's father's name. "Just call me Matt," He told Dylan. "Thank you. Without your body, there's no way I can take your soul out of the scythe and put it in a human body. I can put it in an android body that will recreate yours, but again, it's an android body." Dylan explains to Matt. "What would happen to the scythe?" Matt asked.

"My wife and I can work on upgrading the scythes. So Leona won't carry around dead weight, nor will Eva." Dylan tells us to take the scythes and give them to Amanda. "Then I shall take an android body, as long as no funny business is involved in this. I'm tired of dealing with all of this." Matt says, sounding sad. "I'm sorry, Father," Leona says. "You did nothing wrong. It's my fault for not stopping all of this. Okay, I'm ready," Matt says before being taken out of the scythe and put in an android body. We all watch as the android goes from a blank design to turning into what Matt actually looks like. "This will take until 10pm tonight, so if you all have something to do, you should do it. Will let you know when it's complete," Dylan tells us.

Miriam walks in while a cat and looks directly at Matt. "He's alive!?" Miriam asked, surprised. "Yeah, we got his soul but not his body," Leona tells Miriam. "Where's your mother?" She asks Leona. "Gone with the people," Leona says sad. "I see. Well, I need to figure out how to tell him who I am, but for now, come outside, you all," Miriam says before walking away. We all go outside to see a garden made outside with four houses next to each other. "Wait, how did we miss this," Tyler says before noticing his mom is at the house and his dad waving at him. "We might have been secretly working on this while you four went out," Miriam said, then let out a smart meow. "Chris, your house is to the left of Tyler, Samantha is to the right of our house, and Leona, yours is next to Samantha," Chloe told them. "Never had my own house before. That is a lot of room for me. Thank you so much," Samantha said. Oh, and for Leona, Tuya sent over an egg close to hatching. She said you should be able to summon it. It's a silver wyvern you all went up against. I think it was called Silver Xengoriq. And then a garden for...well, you know what. Now I'm going to sleep. I have been up too long," Miriam says, going to Leona's house to sleep.

We all just relaxed, and Leona took care of the egg, even giving it a little area in her house for it. 10pm hit, and we were called to come upstairs to see Matt. We rushed upstairs, and Matt was back and in his new body. "Thank you. It feels good to be alive again and not just stuck in a dead corpse forever. Also, you girls give off a familiar energy. Can't think of why, but who cares." Matt said happily. Leona ran and hugged her father, happy to see him again. The two hugged, and Leona dragged her father to her new house so he could have somewhere to sleep for the night. That day ended happily, but tomorrow was another day, I was hoping it wouldn't be a stressful day. We have until the 19th to prepare for World One Eva again. I don't think we're ready. The following day, we all did the usual stuff we always do and got told of a mission. "Hey guys, it's me, Zelina. I know it's been a while, but I have a mission since I can't do it myself. Think you can take out a monster for us before it causes issues? I'll have Johnny join you since it's not safe for me to do so," Zelina asked us. "Yeah, we can I said to Zelina. "Good. I sent the information to Amanda and Cubie, so they will let you know. See you," Zelina says before hanging up.
