Chapter 35 Thornfang

"So who's going to go? Eva asked as we sat at the table. Before I could say anything, Irene appeared on the screen, telling us she needed another group. "Tuya said a Thornfang was spotted in a cave." She said. "Thornfang?" Leona questioned. "Yes, it's a blind poison-spitting wyvern that showed up out of nowhere. The scouts detected Bahumant energy off of it and saw World One Chris in the cave." Irene said. "I wonder if World One Chris is what's causing that crap with the police," Marques said. "What's strange is that it seems like after doing a few things, they decided to show up. Like with World One, Eva sent Zelina back after a few missions you all did. I wonder if we do these missions and stop whatever they sent someone back then, we fight them." Cubie said, thinking. "Like I said, world one, Rachel didn't seem real. So I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. Kind of like a mini boss before the actual fight. We just need to not let another Zelina happen, how that caused the whole planet to become tainted, until we win," Chloe explained. "I like to know how that version of Eva was even able to do that. Well, the darkness of her. So much power just tainted everything, and then that moon. I was going to say it doesn't seem like they attack when we're doing anything or nothing, but they are attacking the police now. Which we need to get off our ass and get out there now before they do more," Tyler suggested. "By the way, the crime rate has shot the hell up," Irene informed us. "I'm not surprised by that either. Since it's combined with my world, my world is filled with crime everywhere. Let's lower that crime rate and fast." Chloe said, cracking her knuckles. "Then I want Eva, Leona, Miram, Trio, and Chris with me," I said, getting up. "Then I'll take Evie, Tyler, Samantha, and Jacqueline with me to join with Marques," Chloe said. "In that case, I made all of your outfits again. It's the same ones but with armor, can't take those guns head on, they will fuck you all up. Team Chloe, come upstairs to get it." Amanda told them. "Should we head out now, then?" Chris asked. "We have no poison resistance outfits, do we? Like, even a small thing for our battle outfits?" I asked. "If you defeat that monster, I can make some. But here," Amanda said as a drone comes down with a box full of blue potions. "Antidotes just in case," Amanda said. "Thank you," I said. "Well, my group has our outfits on already, so let's just head out," I said. "I'll join in too. I want to fight another monster again," Matt said. "Dad...you do?" Leona asked, surprised. "Yeah, I'm loving this and a good way to spend time with my daughter," Matt said, getting off the coms. "Can I join in?" Bella asked. "Probably not for the best, though, if you have Amanda work on you, then you could join us in future missions," I told her. "Okay!" Bella said, going into Amanda's room

My group flies out to the location. "Hey, ready to take another one down?" Matt asked. "Dad, are you sure you're ready to keep doing this?" Leona asked. "I've been ready and will always be ready. "Irene, we made it to the location. Anything we need to know before we engage?" I asked. "Let's see, it has a poison spit and also a poison aura that will cover its whole body if it's surrounded, but after it, it can't do it for a while as it tires itself out from it. Additionally, it has a soft tail, but this tail can also transform into a poisonous spike tail. And also don't let it bite you, all those teeth in its mouth can...well, you know." Irene explained. "So much poison...I don't know about this," Chris said, sounding worried. "Don't worry, we've got this," Trio said, trying to stop Chris from worrying. "We do everything else that we shouldn't be able to do and still win, so we can do the same," Miriam said, turning into her human form. "Well, let's do it then," Eva said as we all ran into the cave, rushing towards the Thornfang. "Wait, we're stupid," Chris said, stopping us. "It's blind," Chris reminded us. "Oh yeah, but...oh shit." Eva was about to talk, but noticed the monster was walking towards us. We all sneaked past it, letting it come towards where we just were. "Think it can hear us?" I asked. "I don't see any ears on it, though," Trio said, looking. "Okay, let's all power up a blast and shoot at once," Eva said. "But we're in a cave," Leona said, looking at Eva confused. "Yes, but it should give us time still to fight it and kill it. Even then, this small cave, nothing is happening it, so it should be fine," Matt said. "*sigh* Okay fine, let's do it," Leona said, sounding annoyed. We all surround the monster and start charging up a blast, as the monster is still unaware of us. "On Three...one...two...three," Chris said as we all shot a blast at the monster, but our blast caused the cave to start to shake and cave in. "EVA!" Miram yelled out. "And this is why I don't fully come up with plans, but either way RUN!!" Eva yelled as we all ran the hell out of the cave. "Well, that didn't go too badly," Eva said, picking up her jacket and Chris' jacket off the ground.
