Chapter 28 Kenzie

"Chris, are you okay dear?" I asked him coming down the stairs. "I'm...fine. I wish none of this was a lie. Our parents and that whole country they made will be destroyed. I don't care at all" Chris said sounding pissed. "Well, that will be something we need to prepare for. It is a lot of strong people there" Kato said coming down in his new gear that matched Soma's gear except it had a hood to go over his head as well. "Why do I feel that another world version of us is working on that country?" Samantha questioned. "Who would it be though?" Chris asked. "It would have to be you, Dad. It's the only one that makes sense. I was going to say Chole but that wouldn't be right. Each one of you have a main one remember. Rachel's counterpart is part of world one. Your counterpart is from another. The main goal of them as a whole is to help Chloe's other self but it feels like they have goals of their own that's more important." Samantha explained. "It would have been easier getting rid of one at a time but if we have to fight all at once pretty much then let's do it," Chloe said.

"Incoming urgent message from Ophelia," Cubie said as we saw Ophelia on the screen. "I know there's only two days before Christmas but this can't wait. I'm authorizing the assassination of my creator...my mother Kenzie." Ophelia said. "Wait why?!" Tuya said as she appeared on the screen. "I knew she was lying the whole time. She's trying to start to start that damn project up again. Making of people like me and the others from what your scouts said." Ophelia said. "So that's what you had my scouts doing," Tuya said back. "I'm joining," Lila said. "Marques and I are joining as well. It's time to stop this." Eduardo said. "I don't know if she will have security but it is the base she's at. It was just standard soldiers so just have to inform them. Meet me here then we will rush and get her." Ophelia said as the call ended and Cubie showed us where we needed to meet. The base was 137 miles from us so we decided to quickly get ready.

Chris put on his new outfit was just a long black open coat but was shirtless under it with black jeans and boots his sword was still the same but the more he powered up the more his sword handle changed. The skull eye on the handle would glow red and four symbols would appear on it. It was kanji but Chris wouldn't say what it meant. Samantha's new outfit was a skin-tight suit that was black but had an area where her breasts were that was glowing with a light blue light. The suit was also heavily armored but still, let her move very freely. "Let's do this" Eva said coming down the stairs with her electric guitar. "Back to music? But why are you bringing the guitar?" I asked noticing the music notes on the back of her jacket that were glowing and when Tyler showed up his eyes were glowing now with electric energy. "I'm going to guess that just started happening?" I asked. "My eyes never glowed before when powered up but now they do and even my hair got longer," He said confused. "It's probably why I glow now cause of what we did for Evie and Trio. Also this guitar, I have a feeling will be helpful. I can amp up the sound so much cause of me knowing how to do a powerful soundwave already. Best way to test if this ability is useful or not." Eva said confidently. "Meow," Miriam said waking up in a new onesie. "You're coming to?" Leona asked. "Yeah, it's why I got a onesie like you. Also now I can turn my claws fully into hard ice claws. We will see how it goes" Miriam said getting up.

We all flew out with Leona and Miriam flying on Leona's new wyvern the silver Xengoriq. Everyone met up at the meetup point where we saw Sashi, Tuya, Irene, Ophelia, Father, Mother, Ashley, Rey, Rosa, and Even Evie clone and Trio. "Evie!" Eva said happily. "Hello!" Evie said back. We then saw Lila, Marques, and Eduardo show up with Johnny's military soldiers and white mages. "We ready sister?" Eduardo said. "Let's go," Ophelia said as well all marched forward. "Oh, I see my creations are coming to stop me with her stupid friends and wife. Oh how exciting, but I have something planned for this. You shouldn't have given me a new body." Kenzie said as she came over to a loudspeaker outside the base. "Amanda, trigger the bomb," Ophelia said as we still walked forward. "I did it," Amanda said but no explosion happened. "Ummm Amanda? Where's the explosion" Ophelia asked. "Oh no," Dylan said concerned. "Oh, so you really thought that would work. It would of if I hadn't been told ahead of time by my leader. He told me something was wrong with this body. But since he plans to kill me the best I can do is hold you back" Kenzie said as we saw a dark portal open up above the base. We then saw fifteen androids come out of the portal and land in front of us. "We were ordered to defend this location no matter what. It's what I plan to do" An android said whose body was white, light blue, and red with a glowing red crystal in the middle above their chest and their helmet which had glowing yellow eyes and a manta ray and jellyfish design. Before we could ask anything we started being attacked by the Androids. "Damn it we have to get into that damn building. "Eva, Rachel, Tyler, and Eduardo with me. We have to get in." Ophelia ordered. "We will keep them out here the best we can," Johnny said. We moved forward but were stopped by the android but Chris wrapped his chain around her and Samantha started shooter her distracting her. We made it into the building but could hear Kenzie talking to us. "So this is how it ends, where the heroes fail and a new group begins when needed. You trust her so much, this is all because she caused all the worlds to come together. Maybe in a different life, I would have been better but my plan finally worked. I created an army, I created life that's not a failure now. I played my part in everything if only you would have seen that." Kenzie said as we climbed up to the final floor. Ophelia then kicked Kenzie's office door down and Kenzie was standing there smiling. "Come on. Get it over with" Kenzie said begging us to attack her. "No," Eva said playing a loud riff which caused a big soundwave revealing that it was a fake Kenzie. The real one was under the desk but something was off. Her body was ruined, and beaten. She then started attacking us but all of our attacks deflected off of her. I then ran in to attack her and was doing okay against her but her body was adapting to everything. Tyler then ran in with Eva to help me and we started doing more damage but again after a point she adapted to everything and pushed us all backwards hitting the huge glass window and cracking it. The little shards of glass that came off cut Ophelia's back. "I wonder how your friends are doing. I bet none of them know the weakness of those other androids at all" Kenzie said walking towards us and pulling out a huge sword ready to attack us. We tried to get up but were being held down by an electric field that cut off our powers. I then noticed a gun being slid towards me but I couldn't grab it at all. Kenzie then picked up Ophelia by the throat and started choking her with one hand about to stab her but Tyler kicked the pistol that looked weird into my lap and Yorisue helped me move my hands just enough to shoot Kenzie but it only hit her side. Kenzie dropped Ophelia and the sword but started freaking out. The electric field was gone and our powers came back. The androids outside even started flying away back into the dark portal. "My creation...m...energy...jo...done" Kenzie tried to talk but her body was becoming infected. The gun I shot her with was infected somehow but wasn't bothering me at all. The bullet that hit was killing her slowly. "En....me....kill...." Kenzie still tried to speak but stopped as her body completely changed and mutated into something infected. The infected Kenzie tried to run towards us but Eva took out her scythe and caused a large cut to happen slicing it in half and a soul to come out going inside of the scythe. "What the fuck?" Ophelia was looking at a wall that had a lot of gas chambers mixing with another chemical. But it was drained completely and fast. "I'm going to guess this is number three," A voice said as we turned around and noticed it was Chloe but it was Chloe's counterpart. The energy felt off about her though. Her body was completely black with only her teether and eyes showing. "You're doing this for no reason at all. By the way, the whole time your group has been trying to warn you" She said disappearing before we noticed the android from earlier looking at us, grabbing us in her hands and bringing us down to the ground but she then collapsed to the ground holding herself up.

"Wait you're not evil?" Tyler asked. "She's not. She was faking the whole time." Samantha said. "But those others still kicked our ass. How did this one turn good?" Johnny asked "One of my scouts Ophelia had come out here and reprogrammed this one. She was ordered to record everything she saw which she did...but it ruined her." Tuya said showing how the android was now crying. "Hey hey. It's okay. Look if you come back to normal size we will take you back to our place and get food and snacks." Tyler said trying to cheer up the android. "Really?" She said. "Hell yeah!" Chris yelled out. "O...okay," She said whipping her tears and going back to our size. "Johnny I need you to get a hazmat team into that building and lock it down. There were gas chambers in there. I have no idea what she was doing but the gas was drained out and Chloe's other version showed up." Ophelia ordered. "Wait she was? Why was she here already?" Chloe said panicking. "I have no idea but she thought this android was going to kill us but I guess she didn't know it was reprogrammed either. But she didn't attack. Why?" Tyler asked before Chloe's other version showed up again. "Because why would I? It's almost Christmas and I plan to give you until January 13th. Goodbye now" She tells us disappearing. Chloe looks over where her counterpart disappeared and just keeps looking. "You okay?" Tyler asked but Chloe didn't say anything.
