After hanging up after my phone call with Kaira, I was actually on my way to pick up Jake.
It was hard keeping this away from her, But I knew Jake meant well.
I called him.
"Hyung? She's called me three times already, fuck I hate not being able to answer her. " Jake said.
"You're the one who wanted to keep it a surprise, you could've told her you know ? " I said.
"That would've ruined the surprise, it's okay, I can do it, it's hard but I know I can, her voicemail was so cute, god, I can't wait too see her. " He said.
I chuckled.
"I'm the one who has to hide it from her, how do you think I feel? You owe me big time, making my ass drive almost an hour to come pick you up. " I said.
"Saranghae. " Jake said cutely.
"You landed yet? " I said.
"Yeah, I'm just in baggage claim, god, my puppy, my apartment, my roommate, my pc, I miss it all. " He said.
"Well, you'll get all that in an hour. " I said.
"Hyung you mad? You sound mad ? " He said.
"Mad?! MAD?! of course I am, you should've planned this a few days prior, what are we supposed to do, I have no idea how long she's gonna be. " I said.
"Will you relax, everything will be fine, we just gotta post up for a bit, that's all. " He said.
"Where the fuck we gonna post up at ? " I said.
"Hm? No idea, actually. " He said.
"God, you suck at surprises. " I said.
"Well, I'm sorry, I didn't expect to be home early either ?! " He said.
I sighed.
"No you're right, I'm sorry hyung. " I said.
"Don't apologize hyung, it's cool. " He said.
"And you were right, I definitely could've planned this out a lot better. " He added.
"Oh, 100%, But, you're driving back. " I said.
"What?! I've been on a plane for 11, almost 12 hours?! You're making me drive back ?! " He said.
"Yep. " I said.
"Hyung?! How is that even fair?! " He said.
"Get better at surprises first, and then we can talk. " I said.
"God, I hate you! " He said.
"I know. " I said.
"Just hurry. " He said.
"I'm going as fast as I can, I'll see you in...40 minutes. " I said.
"4- Fine. " He said.
I smiled.
"I'll call you when I'm there. " I said.
"Okay. " He said finally hanging up.
I shook my head.
"This boy gives me a headache, I have no idea how Kaira handles it. " I said.
I continued with the drive.
