Lisa brought Jungkook back inside the banquet hall. When Mother Jeon spotted the two of them, she quickly said, "Come, come. Let's take a group photo!"
"Sure!" said Lisa as she walked over with a smile.
Old Mr. Kim, who was very happy that he could have a photo taken with his granddaughter, cooperated well with them.
Lisa and Jungkook stood obediently next to their elders. Feeling that Jungkook was somewhat down, she leaned into his ear and whispered, "I can't wait to see what you have prepared for me."
Jungkook's pitch-black eyes brightened up some, and the corners of his mouth curved upward. He was no longer dispirited. "Wait for a moment, Lili. I will show Lili soon."
Lisa couldn't help but smile. Now, he was the one comforting her.
After the photo was taken, both Old Mr. Kim and Grandma Song were tired, having joined in the festivities since the beginning of the banquet. They were, after all, up there in age. As such, Father Jeon had someone bring them to their room to rest. Next to them, Mother Jeon asked whether Jungkook and Lisa wanted to ride back home with them.
Seeing the eager look on Jungkook's face, Lisa declined politely. "Jungkook and I have something else to take care of."
Mother Jeon was taken aback a little. She looked over at her son and immediately understood that her son wanted to celebrate Lisa's birthday alone with her.
It had always been her dream that the two would one day care for and love each other. Thus, once she heard that they would spend time alone together, Mother Jeon looked delighted and immediately let them go.
"Alright, you two younglings go and celebrate. I won't get in between."
Jungkook quickly dragged Lisa away after hearing Mother Jeon.
He walked very fast. One could tell how he couldn't wait to show Lisa his gift.
Mother Jeon laughed so hard that she fell comfortably into Father Jeon's arms. She wiped away the moisture coming out of her eyes and said, "I am so glad to see Kook the way he is right now."
There was someone that he liked, and she liked him back.
Father Jeon hugged his wife tightly and nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, the car was already waiting for the couple outside, so Jungkook just had to pull Lisa into the car before driving off.
Once the door closed, Lisa sat up against him and asked curiously, "Where are you taking us?"
"I am not telling you." Sitting with his back straight, Jungkook silently stared at her, mischievousness and excitement coloring his eyes.
Lisa stopped asking then. Although she was excited to know, she wanted to wait for the surprise.
The car drove for a long time before finally stopping at a resort by the sea.
Jungkook held Lisa's hand as he got out of the car with her. For some inexplicable reason, her heart started to pound.
She let him bring her into the hotel.
Lisa still had on the red gown from the banquet. Jungkook was also in his red suit. Although they had just come from a long, tiring banquet, when the two of them stood side by side, let it be their looks or their outfit, they were still very eye-catching.
After they had walked inside the elevator, Jungkook picked up Lisa's hand and flipped it over to look at her palm. He was curious. "You are sweating, Lili."
Lisa, "......"
Walking out of the elevator, Lisa saw Jungkook pull out a room key. She had no idea when he booked the room.
Jungkook opened the room door and gently led Lisa inside. It was pitch-black inside. The minute the light came on, Lisa saw that the room was filled with blossoming roses. No wonder she could smell the sweetness in the air.
Lisa saw that there was a little card attached to each bundle of roses. She picked up the one by her foot. Written on there was: Kiss me more, Lili.
Lisa smiled and picked up another one. This one said: Look at me more, Lili.
She read a few more. "Hug me more, Lili." "Smile more, Lili." "Lili likes only me."
Holding the cards in her hand, she smiled and asked Jungkook, "It is my birthday today. Shouldn't I be the one making wishes? Why are these all your wishes?"
Jungkook looked at Lisa with shyness in his pitch-black eyes. "What is Lili's wish?"
Lili gently stroked him on his head and purposefully combed out his done-up hair. "My wish is to fulfill all of your wishes."
