Jungkook pinched his lips shut a little and pretended that he was not upset. "I am not upset anymore."

Lisa looked at the pile of little black clouds with lightning above his head.....

Old Mr. Kim flew over from City Nan just to celebrate his granddaughter's birthday. He even gave Lisa a property that the Ning's own as a birthday present.

Many of the guests gasped. They were all envious and jealous because they knew that that property Old Mr. Kim gave Lisa was a gold mine. It would certainly appreciate over time.

Father and Mother Jeon gave Lisa gifts for her birthday as well. It was a mansion that the Jeon family owned, making everybody envious all over again.

Old Mrs. Song, too, attended her granddaughter-in-law's birthday banquet. Like Father and Mother Jeon, she gave Lisa a mansion.

Even Mingyu gave Lisa a car.

Lisa had no plans driving the car since she could never be certain whether Mingyu would have done something to the car.

After her family had finished presenting their gifts, all the guests looked over at Lisa with envy. Just these few gifts added up to over 10 million yuan, an astronomical amount for birthday party gifts.

"Kook, what did you prepare for Lalii?" Mother knew that her son cared for Lisa, so she had purposefully mentioned to him that it was almost Lisa's birthday and reminded him to prepare a gift in advance.

Her son nodded in acknowledgement at the time.

Mother Jeon was very curious about what her son got Lisa for her birthday.

Old Mrs. Lee, too, was very interested in Jungkook's gift. "Where is Kook's gift?"

With a haughty look, Old Mr. Kim waited to see what Jungkook had prepared.

Although Jungkook had pinched his lips shut, looking very nonchalant, he was in truth a bit eager for his turn to give his gift. Everybody else had already given Lisa their gifts except for him. However, he remembered that Wei Xing had told him not to share what the birthday gift was before he actually gave it to her. Otherwise, it would ruin the surprise.

As such, Jungkook said slowly, "My present is for Lisa's eyes only."

He, too, wanted to present it to her as soon as possible.

Old Mr. Kim harrumphed. "Don't tell me that you had forgotten to prepare a gift for Lisa."

"I did. For Lili's eyes only." Jungkook insisted.

Lisa was prepared to not get anything from Jungkook. After all, he acted like he was not aware that her birthday was coming up.

Now that she had found out that he had prepared something for her. She started looking forward to it.

Holding his hand, she said, "Give it to me in private later then. We won't show it to anyone else."

Jungkook nodded. There was bashfulness in his pitch-black eyes. The little black clouds with lightning over Jungkook's head instantly disappeared. In their place, a little sun popped out. "Show Lili in private."

The banquet continued. After seeing how much the Ning family, the Jeon family, and the Song family valued Lisa, many of the guests went up to converse and socialize with her.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was very anxious inside. It was like he was sitting in pins and needles as he waited the entire time for the banquet to end.

He could barely contain himself toward the end of the banquet.

Noticing Jungkook's anxiousness, she smiled to herself. "Where's my gift? Show it to me."

Jungkook beamed when he heard that. Picking up Lisa's hand, he started bringing her away from the venue. "I will show to Lili."

However, the two didn't go very far before they were stopped by the butler, who had been looking for them.

"Young Master Jungkook, Young Madam. Madam said they would like to have a photo with Old Mr. Kim," said the butler.

Lisa was a little surprised. It was true that it was not easy for her grandfather to make a trip here. "Okay, we will head over now."

She looked over at Jungkook. Sure enough, she saw that his lips were shut tightly, looking extremely disappointed. Even his well-done up fringes draped down, making him look pitiful.

Lisa found that comical. Nevertheless, she comforted him sweetly, saying, "Let's go back and take the photo first. We will go see my gift as soon as we are done with the photos."

Jungkook's beautiful eyes dimmed further. "Okay."
