298.The car ran straight into a truck. (3)

Lisa walked to an empty, secluded corner without surveillance cameras and returned to her invisible state.

She was just about to go look for Jungkook when she ran into him around the corner.

"Young Master, you need to have your wound cleaned." The bodyguard repeated himself a few times, but Jungkook did not respond to him at all. He stood there quietly as though he was waiting for someone.

The bodyguard knew that he was waiting for that young girl.

While walking toward him, Lisa called his name. "Jungkook."

She then picked up his hand and intertwined her fingers with Jungkook's long ones, which she felt were slightly cold to the touch.

Like the bodyguard, Lisa knew that he was waiting for her, so she immediately led him inside. "Let's go. I'll go inside with you."

Jungkook nodded without hesitation.

The bodyguard thought that he had finally gotten through Jungkook and quickly said, "Let's go inside then, Young Master."

Jungkook didn't even look at him. As usual, he focused all his attention on Lisa, obediently letting her guide him and hold his hand.

With Lisa there, Jungkook was relatively cooperative. The nurse was able to disinfect his wound and apply the dressing. Fortunately, since the wound was not very deep, he didn't need any stitches.

The bodyguard stood to one side and was surprised by how cooperative Jungkook was today.

Lisa's heart ached when she looked at Jungkook's wound. This time, he was injured because of her.

Meanwhile, Professor Yuan, who was still very much drunk and livid at Lisa's earlier provocation, accidentally hit the gas pedal, thinking that it was the brake, and had a head-on collision into a large truck.

Coming out of the hospital, Lisa and Jungkook ran into traffic on their way back.

"Young Master Jungkook, there had been an accident up front. We will need to take a detour," said the bodyguard.

Slightly curious, Lisa looked outside of the window and immediately saw Professor Yuan's car. It had smashed into a big rig, and its hood was completely crushed.

The scene was chaotic.

The paramedics had just arrived and seemed to be working on Professor Yuan from his car. They saw Professor Yuan's head covered in blood when he was retrieved from the car. It was difficult to tell whether he had just lost consciousness or that he was already dead from where Lisa was. Nevertheless, after getting him out of the car, Lisa saw the paramedics start performing CPR on Professor Yuan.

The other person looked like he was the truck driver. He had one hand over his head and was talking very emotionally.

Lisa looked away. She had saved Jennie. As for Professor Yuan, he wouldn't listen to her and insisted on driving drunk. Whatever had happened to him was the consequences of his own actions.

Mother Jeon came running up to them when Lisa and Jungkook arrived home. Mother Jeon had already heard the incident from the bodyguard and was about to head to the hospital, but her son had already returned home.

She had to confirm multiple times with the bodyguard that Jungkook had only suffered minor injuries before she let out a sigh of relief.

Mother Jeon asked the bodyguard a few more questions, while Jungkook went upstairs with Lisa quietly in tow, holding his hand.

Lisa noticed that the décor of his room was exactly the same as it was in the future. She had almost forgotten the time difference while she was there.

The current Jungkook was very similar to the Jungkook in the future. Both of them had very chiseled features and handsome looks. He was looking at her quietly with his pitch-black eyes.

"Dirty." Jungkook mumbled with his head lowered.

It was then that Lisa noticed the ashes on the back of Jungkook's hand. She had no idea when it had gotten there.

Since it did look dirty, she immediately took his hand and led him into the bathroom to wash it off.
