Back in the present...

It was quiet inside the room.

Lisa, who had just returned, rolled over in contemplation. She could still taste Jungkook's breath on her. He was learning too fast that she was barely able to breathe earlier.

Her lips were still tingling with a little pain. It was the first time that she had realized that he was no little puppy. He was a little wolf cub in disguise!

And his wolf nature was starting to show. She didn't know whether she should be scared or excited.

Thinking about their kiss, Lisa fell into a deep slumber.

The next day, she woke up early and recalled what had happened during her recent trip. Curious about the changes, she quickly looked for the news articles published on the same day as Jungkook's graduation gathering.

She discovered that the news articles had been altered according to the changes during her trip. This time, the only fatality was Professor Yuan. There was no Jennie nor were there any injured pedestrians.

More or less expecting Professor Yuan's death, Lisa wasn't surprised and didn't react that much..

On the other hand, however, she couldn't be happier, knowing that she had saved Taehyung's girlfriend. The feeling was much like how she had saved Jungkook's grandmother. A small action from her had saved someone's life. That made her happy from the bottom of her heart.

At the laboratory, everyone could tell that Taehyung was in a very good mood today.

"What's the occasion?" Someone couldn't help but ask the ecstatic Taehyung.

"It's my girlfriend's birthday tomorrow, so we are going out to celebrate after work." Taehyung smiled in a sunny and foolish way, showing a full-set of teeth.

"Here I thought you had some major event going on." His colleague teased him.

"My girlfriend's birthday is a major event to me. I am glad that she was born." Taehyung rubbed his head bashfully. "That being said, there is something even more important that will happen later. It will turn into another major event if I succeed."

Next to him, the married male colleague immediately got what he meant. He patted Taehyung on his shoulder and said, "Oh boy, are you going to propose?"

Taehyung's smile became even more silly. He didn't disagree with the question, passively declaring that he was going to propose to his girlfriend later.

"Good for you! I wish you luck. We will be waiting for your wedding invitation!"

"I sure hope so, Brother Cheng. Afternoon tea tomorrow is my treat if I succeed."

"Don't worry. I am sure you will succeed."

Jungkook's ears perked up during the entire conversation, especially the part about Taehyung celebrating his girlfriend's birthday with her. His lips pinched. He didn't even know when Lili's birthday was.

After work that day, Jungkook carried his red backpack and took the elevator down with Taehyung.

They had just reached the front door when a petite silhouette came running up to them and threw her arms around Taehyung.

"You are off! I was just debating whether I should wait for you inside or outside," said Jennie coquettishly as she put her arms around Taehyung's waist.

There was heavy foot traffic on the street, so Taehyung felt a little shy. Nevertheless, he stroked his girlfriend's head and said, "Give me a few more minutes. I can't take off just yet."

"Okay." Jennie let go of his waist considerately and held his hand instead. She loved having their fingers intertwined.

Next to them, Jungkook's lips were pressed shut and finally relaxed when he saw the familiar black car pull over in front of him.

Lili was here to pick him up.

The door opened up, and Jennie saw a pretty and familiar face, "Big Sister Lili."

Lisa was taken aback a little. She saw Jennie greeting her affectionately from outside the car.

Jennie was a few years older than Lisa, but since Lisa had saved her and also appeared to be more mature and quieter, Jennie couldn't help but call Lisa Big Sister every time she saw her.

Seeing the bright smile on Jennie, Lisa's eyes curved. "I'm so glad to see you."

Jennie, from outside the car, was very emotional when she heard Lisa say that.

Ever since she had met Lisa, she had been idolizing her. Lisa was like a goddess to her and was more important than any other idols of hers.

If it wasn't for Lisa who got her out of Professor Yuan's car, she probably would have died in his car with him that night.

Jennie was truly appreciative of what Lisa had done for her.
