"Master Jungkook, if you are nervous, you can always have some red wine ready. Having a little bit of red wine will help calm your nerves." Taehyung remembered his very first night. He was so nervous that his palms would not stop sweating.
He felt for certain that Jungkook would be as nervous as he was.
Jungkook had no idea what worry was. He, however, thought about the scenario in which Lili would be scared. As such, he made a mental note about red wine.
"Oh yeah, and you must be gentle." Taehyung spoke from an experienced person's standpoint.
Looking at Jungkook with his innocent eyes, Taehyung looked around. Making sure that there was nobody around them within earshot, he lowered his voice and reminded Jungkook, "And must have stamina. It's a male ego thing."
Jungkook blinked, and his pitch-black eyes stared blankly at him. "How long was it for you?"
Jungkook's question made Taehyung blush. He adjusted his spectacles and said with a guilty conscience. "Over half an hour."
Even the base of his ears were red after he finished saying that.
Worried that Jungkook would have more embarrassing questions, Taehyung quickly said, "I remember that there is something else that I need to attend to. I'll be on my way now."
With the book that's burning a hole in his arms, Taehyung hurried up and left.
Jungkook pinched his lips shut. A strand of his fringe in front of his forehead stuck up foolishly. Jungkook made another mental note: must last at least half an hour or longer.
The Jeon family wanted a big celebration for Lisa, so many in the upper-class circle received an invitation. Many were stunned by how much the Jeon family valued their daughter-in-law.
The Jung family, too, learned about the big celebration that the Jeon family was going to throw for Lisa. And to make matters worse, they did not receive an invitation. Their exclusion made Mother Jung and Eunha both envious and upset.
Father Jung chastised them for alienating Lisa. In particular, they should never have tried to take Lisa's identity. Because of the incident, it became obvious now that Lisa wanted to keep a distance from the Lin family, which allowed them to only get the shorter end of the stick.
Sitting to one side, Eunha looked gloomy. She did not react to Father Jeon's words.
She had a dream in the past. In her dream, Lisa had left the Jeon family and was laughing and chatting with another man while the Second Young Master Jeon was laying in bed, ill.
The Lu family would definitely regret later on being so nice to Lisa.
The birthday banquet was to be held at one of the Jeon's hotels.
Mother Jeon had put in a lot of effort for Lisa's birthday. For instance, she reserved fresh flowers from overseas for the decoration of the venue. As soon as the guests entered the venue, they would be able to detect a hint of fragrance coming from the flowers.
Mother Jeon truly thought of Lisa as if she was her own. For her, she had prepared over 10 different event gowns for Lisa to choose from, all of them custom-made.
The makeup artist was envious when she saw how Mother Jeon doted on Lisa.
She has had many clients from the upper class and had seen her fair share of mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law who didn't get along. In fact, it was the very first time she had seen a mother-in-law who doted so much on her daughter-in-law.
She saw Mother Jeon reminding Lisa repeatedly to snack on some food ahead of time before heading to the banquet. She also reminded her to not wear heels that were too high, so her feet wouldn't get sore.
The makeup artist even heard Mother Jeon telling the butler to remind the workers to pay close attention to the temperature of the venue. They wouldn't want the venue to be too cold for Lisa.
The makeup artist must admit that she was very envious of it all.
If Mother Jeon's affectionate treatment of Lisa wasn't enough, there was the tall and handsome Second Young Master Jeon who had been sitting quietly to one side in his red suit, patiently waiting for Ms. Kim's makeover.
From the moment he sat down, Lisa was the only one in his eyes and in his world.
The makeup artist felt that she had been fed a mouthful of dog food and a mouthful of lemon.
