When the day was over, the sky darkened all of a sudden. Rain clouds rolled over, and the air was stuffy and humid.
It was about to rain.
Wang Tzuyu turned down the umbrella from a male colleague and walked over to Jungkook's spot with interest.
She had been observing all afternoon long, and she noticed that Jungkook, indeed, was very quiet. Er, not exactly. All afternoon, the only sound he made was when he grunted in acknowledgment to what Taehyung said. Aside from that, he would quietly work on his research.
Looking at Jungkook's handsome face, she couldn't help but narrow her eyes. He was so handsome, exactly how she liked a man.
Tzuyu felt that she hadn't been this interested in a man in a long time.
She started talking tenderly, "Hi, Jungkook. Can you......"
She wasn't even done talking when Jungkook stood up suddenly. Tzuyu beamed.
He was so tall, and he still had the cleanliness and innocence belonging to a young man.
She hadn't even had a chance to keep on talking when Jungkook picked up his red backpack and walked away. He was gone in a flash.
It was time to go home, and Lili was here.
Tzuyu watched as Jungkook walked out on his two long feet as though he didn't even see her.
Nevertheless, there was a smile in her eyes. She had always liked a challenge.
Tzuyu turned around and almost bumped into Taehyung.
"Assistant Kang," she smiled in greeting.
Taehyung nodded at her and quickly followed behind Jungkook. Young Master Jungkook's concept of time was too precise. Not a minute too soon and not a minute behind. He took off when the time was up.
Jungkook just walked out of the front door when it started to pour.
Ignoring the pouring rain, Jungkook waited for Lisa by the side of the road.
"Young Master Jungkook, it's raining right now. Why don't we wait in the lobby?" Seeing that Jungkook was standing in the rain, Taehyung quickly ran over to the front desk, grabbed an umbrella there, and dashed back to where Jungkook was.
Jungkook didn't say anything. He stood by the side of the road stubbornly. He wanted to see Lisa right away.
Taehyung understood Jungkook's character and did not keep on trying to convince him. As such, he patiently held the umbrella over Jungkook, but the rain was coming down so hard that he still got wet.
After a long while, a black car pulled over to the front. Jungkook's eyes beamed as he walked toward it.
Lisa opened the car door for Jungkook.
Looking at Taehyung who was mostly drenched, Lisa said to him, "Assistant Wei, why don't you jump in as well? We will give you a ride."
"Don't worry about me, Miss Kim." Taehyung quickly smiled and declined her offer.
"C'mon in. You got wet staying with Jungkook. It's raining so hard right now that it would be difficult for you to get a car."
"Alright. Thank you so much, Young Master Jungkook and Miss Kim." Taehyung did not insist on rejecting her kindness anymore and instead opened the passenger side door and got in.
Seeing that Jungkook's clothes were also wet, Lisa quickly pulled out tissues to wipe him down. "You shouldn't wait outside when it's raining. There is no shelter on the street. You can wait for me in the lobby."
Jungkook just let her wipe the water away from his face as he looked at her quietly with his pitch-black eyes.
Lisa pinched his cheeks and said, "Don't come out in the rain next time, okay?"
He didn't care about the rain, nor did he feel cold. But that did not mean that he wouldn't get sick.
Jungkook pinched his lips shut a little and slowly nodded to acknowledge her instructions.
Sitting in the front, Taehyung was no longer surprised by the fact that Jungkook was very obedient when it came to Lisa.
The sky was dark, and the rain came down heavier. The car finally stopped in front of an alley.
"This is me. Thank you so much," said Taehyung as he opened the door.
Lisa looked outside. There were no street lamps in the alley. It only had lights coming through the windows of the buildings. It was dim and not the best environment.
Taehyung walked into the alley with the umbrella over his head.
