Sounding angry, Eunha said, "If I wasn't so nice as to have Mom bring you with us to the Jeon's ball last time, would you have been able to meet Second Young Master Jeon? Had you not met Second Young Master Jeon, would he have reacted to you and allowed you to become his wife?"
Lisa had been wondering how she was able to marry into the Jeon family without Eunha marrying into the family first and stirring things up. Eunha had just answered her question.
Last time around, it was Eunha who first married into the Jeon family and set her up into marrying Jungkook, thinking it would bring her misery.
This time around, even though Eunha did not marry into the Jeon's, Lisa was still able to meet Jungkook because of Eunha's invitation to one of the Jeon family's banquet.
Lisa's lips curved upward. "Well, thank you so much."
Eunha had regained her original appearance, but since she had makeup on, she didn't look too bad. Nevertheless, her features weren't the best. That, on top of the arrogant look on her face, made her appear even less attractive.
"Now that you realized that I was the one who had done you a solid, it's your turn to repay the favor."
Eunha had thought that Lisa's life would be miserable and painful after having married the fool, Jungkook. Lo and behold, Lisa looked very well-spirited and had a pink glow on her face. She looked very attractive without a hint that she was unhappy in her life.
Eunha regretted ever giving Lisa a chance to be happy, but still, she said, haughtily, "Introduce me to the First Young Master Jeon when you have a chance."
"Lali." Mother Lin also chimed in, "You were able to marry into the Lu family and live your happy days with Eunha's help. You should help Eunha in return. That way you will have each other in the wealthy family, and the two of you can look after each other in the future."
Lisa was not surprised by their suggestion at all. Eunha had, after all, married Mingyu the last time around. "I can't help you on this one. If you want to marry Mingyu, you will have to fight for it yourself."
From Lisa's perspective, it would not be a bad thing for Eunha to marry Mingyu again. The two of them deserved each other.
Nevertheless, without Lisa's halo, Lisa didn't think Mingyu would fall for Eunha.
Eunha's face changed color when she heard Lisa turning down her request. "Lisa, did you forget that you had been staying with my family and we had been supporting you for years? How dare you turn us down when we have this one favor to ask? That's very ungrateful of you!"
Lisa looked very calm, and her eyes were cold. "When the Jung family needed capital, you used my parents' insurance money to save your business. That amount was enough to support ten of me."
Mother Jung did not look very happy. "What about everything that I have done for you in the last few years? Did you just take them all for granted?"
"Little Aunt, have you forgotten what you have told me when I expressed that I did not wish to marry into the Jeon family?" Lisa sneered. "I don't own the Jung family anything."
"Mom, stop wasting your time with Lisa. She is nothing but a white-eyed wolf. She's ungrateful. You just cannot reason with her." Eunha pulled out an agreement and showed it to Lisa. "I bet you didn't know that my mom and Mrs. Jeon had signed an agreement before your marriage."
Lisa took a glance at the paper. Old Mr. Kim had already mentioned the agreement to her previously.
The agreement stated that if she did not wish to stay at the Jeon's after two years, she was free to have a divorce from Jungkook.
"So?" Lisa chuckled. "You asked me here today to threaten me with this? As long as I refuse to divorce Jungkook, what will this agreement be good for?"
Eunha looked complacent. She showed the agreement to Lisa and said, "Do you really think that you will still be able to stay peacefully at the Jeon's if, say, my mom brings this agreement to Mrs. Jeon and begs her to let you go? Or if she just generally makes a scene there?"
Most members of wealthy families cared about their images, and they loved bullying their daughters-in-law. Lisa was from an ordinary family. It stood to reason that Madam Jeon would be very displeased with Lisa should her family go and make a scene at the Jeon's.
