"I had always found Little Hyunjin very familiar since the very first time I saw him," said Mother Jeon. "I thought about it long and hard that night and finally connected him to my cousin."
Her cousin worked in the south and spent most of his time there. After Little Hyunjin was born, even though Mother Jeon didn't see this cousin a lot, she was still pained by him losing his child. Father Jeon had also sent many men to help him look for his lost child.
After the child had been gone for a while, her cousin's wife, Hoyeon, started to not be right in her head. She became depressed. Mother Jeon's cousin accompanied her to travel around, hoping to ease their pain and also look for their child during their trips.
Mother Jeon wasn't sure whether Little Hyunjin was her cousin's lost child, so they did not want to get Hoyeon's hopes up high, worried that it could make her condition worse. Mother Jeon had only informed Inyeop.
Thankfully, Little Hyunjin turned out to be his child.
He, too, had autism. It was a very mild form at first, but it had gotten worse after he was kidnapped. Luckily he was still young, and it was not too late for intervention.
As such, Little Hyunjin has become much better now.
Lisa listened attentively. She looked over at Little Hyunjin, who was sitting across from her. His two feet were kicking back and forth casually, and his eyes no longer darted around. He was much more outgoing compared to how he used to be.
Lisa hadn't thought that there would be such a coincidence She could have never imagined in a million years that Little Hyunjin would turn out to be Jungkook's cousin.
Lisa suddenly realized why Little Hyunjin had such an attraction toward Jungkook. Aside from having similar conditions, the two of them were related by blood.
Sitting in between his parents, Little Hyunjin asked, looking pure and cute, "Big Brother Jungkook?"
Lisa's lips curved upward, and there was happiness in her black eyes.
Little Hyunjin was able to find his parents, who loved him dearly. This was so nice.
"Big Brother Jungkook is at work. He needs to make money," said Lisa to him with a smile.
Little Hyunjin blinked. Her voice somehow sounded familiar.
Lisa pulled out a candy with lots of oranges printed on its wrapper. Opening up her palm, the candy was lying right there, ready to be taken away by him. "Would you like a piece of candy, Little Hyunjin?"
Little Hyunjin looked at the piece of candy with his dark, round eyes.
Hoyeon smiled at her and said, "He does not like candies."
Hoyeon's depression was almost all gone ever since they had found her son. She had spent a lot of time bonding with her child in the past year.
After a long while, when Lisa was about to pull her hand back, Little Hyunjin suddenly nodded and said slowly, "Yes, I want."
Hoyeon looked at her son in surprise. When she noticed that he was staring at the piece of candy in Lisa's hand, she smiled in surprise. "It looks like this child not only likes Jungkook. He likes Lali too."
Lisa smiled and placed the piece of candy in Little Hyunjin's hand. She didn't necessarily think that Little Hyunjin liked her, but more that he remembered seeing this kind of candy in the past.
Little Hyunjin unwrapped the piece of candy clumsily, but soon enough, the orange translucent candy appeared in his hand. He then put it inside his mouth.
It was sweet and had the flavor of orange.
This had the same taste as the very first piece of candy that he had.
As Little Hyunjin always had Jungkook on his mind, Inyeop figured he could bring his child with him and spend a few days in City B, since he had some matters to take care of here.
Inyeop and Hoyeon would leave their child with the Jeon's and pick him up in a couple of days.
Lisa stayed with Little Hyunjin. She noticed that even though Little Hyunjin still didn't talk a lot, he was now curious about his surroundings and would look around and study the environment around him.
When looking outside the car window, he would make little noises and even ask questions.
