After Princess Isthmia (Fillun's aunt) had prepared everything to happen correctly, she waited for the entry of the army into the capital, and the return of its future king.
Bonnar marched with several battalions of the new National Velastrian Army to the palace, and took over the old military headquarters which was occupied up to then by the Cavonian army. This was very daring, given that negotiation of the departure of the Cavonians had not yet happened.
From Knights' Temple, Fillun went with the army and Bonnar and the soldiers, accompanied by Ross and Tarn. The entry of the army to the military headquarters happened quietly because all of the Cavonian soldiers were in the city, several hours away, trying to resolve the conflict that had been created.
The remaining soldiers - in very small numbers – were easily removed by the new National Velastrian Army; who were quickly proving their worth and effectiveness.
When Bonnar accompanied Fillun and the other two horsemen to the palace, Princess Isthmia welcomed them officially. Her family welcomed and hugged Fillan, who they had not seen for a very long time. His cousins and uncle were very happy to see him. While they would have liked to have one of their family as the new monarch, advice from the government had convinced them to accept that this was not legally possible.
The apartment which had been the living quarters of Queen Mother Margaretha, and before that Fillun and his parents, was prepared and ready for the installation of Fillun, and - although discreetly so - the addition of Bonnar to the household, and Ross and Tarn as his personal bodyguards.
The news coming from the Velastrian capital that a new king was to be installed, and that its soldiers were marching on the Cavonian headquarters, led the Cavonians to decide decided it was time to invade.
However, before Bonnar had crossed the border, he had ensured that all routes of passage were disconnected through explosion, leaving them for no other route to go than by sea.
The Cavonian army did not have any specialist navy section, and as a result they could not put up a fight through sea invasion.
The soldiers who had been in the city a few hours away trying to resolve the conflict, were surrounded by the new National Army, and made to surrender.
They were brought back to their living quarters in the military headquarters, and then they were marched over land to the sea port, from where they were taken to Cavonia on two of the army's new ships. They were left at the closest port in Cavonia, and the ships returned home.
The Cavonians were dismayed that they had been prevented from continuing their occupation of Velastria by a new army of which they had not even been aware.
However they understood that there was nothing they could do at this stage; and proceeded to install the return soldiers in their home country, and plan invasions of other countries once they learned the strength of the new National Velastrian Army.
Members of the government met with Fillun, and were very happy, some even with tears in their eyes, to see that the son of the parents who had been killed by the Cavonian army was alive and well, and ready to take the throne.
The day for the installation ceremony was picked, and the new king's robes were being made, and a banquet was prepared.
