Henry was a sweet boy from all I've learned from him. The next day he had told me about his adventures in Storybrooke with his family. I had to admit it, it was pretty complicated. She didn't know how many times she asked him to repeat himself.
We sat away from all the chaotic boys and instead talked about everything that happened. He made her feel better about the boy who was killed. It didn't help me forget, but it helped me understand that it was out of my control. I was good. He said I was good and I chose to believe that. Now he just had to figure the family drama out...
"So your adoptive mother is an evil queen who had planned to destroy your grandmother because it was her fault her true love died. And your grandmother is a princess from the enchanted forest whose daughter Emma, your biological mom, happens to be the product of true love from your grandmother and grandfather. Not to mention the fact that your dad Neal, is the son of someone called the dark," I raised a brow," Anything else?"
"Not that I can think of at the moment but I'm sure that's the basics. There's a book that I'll let you read when we get home." He grinned. His happy grin quickly turned sad. I could tell it was from him to be away from his family. Especially when there was no real clue if they were searching for him. One can hope, but could it really be the truth?
"Tell me more about this Storybrooke. I need to know the place before we get there," I smiled trying to get him to take his mind off his worries.
He looked down, picking up a stick and digging at the ground.
"Well, people from Storybrooke have to come from the enchanted forest..."
So he thinks I might be from the enchanted forest. Maybe his storybook had answers for her.
"Henry!" We both shot our heads up and watched as Pan had approached us alongside Felix. The lost boys were standing right behind them.
"How about another little game," he suggested before turning to me. "You, come with me." He walked off not looking back, knowing I didn't have the choice but to follow. We continued walking until we had approached a spring. It was quiet and you could hear birds chirping.
"I didn't expect Neverland to have birds," I said, searching for them among the trees.
"Are you sure you should have your guard down?" he asked. I turned around to look at him. Maybe it was the boy I saw die, but I wasn't afraid of him as much anymore. Maybe I was just losing my sanity. I sighed.
Pan continued to walk, approaching a huge rock. He turned around, happy to try and burst my bubble. "Yes well those birds may appear lovely but they eat like vultures."
"Typical," I murmured. "You know for someone that calls himself the King of Neverland, there isn't much here, is there?"
"What?"
"I noticed there is no sunlight here. Have you tried using magic to make some light? Maybe that's why you're so miserable."
He chuckled, he was humoring me by allowing me to table on. And I was enjoying letting off a bit of some steam. There were a lot worse things I wanted to say, but I wasn't going to go there... yet.
"Why'd you bring me here," I asked. Pan leaned back on the rock looking out to the spring. He seemed deep in thought as he clenched his jaw and fiddled with his knife.
