I sat down at the counter doing my homework with Henry beside me working on putting a basket together for Regina. Pan was across from us leaning on the table and frowning once in a while. Mary Margaret and David were taking care of the baby in the kitchen.

It was getting dark outside and I was beginning to get worried for Emma until the door knob rattled and she walked inside.

"You are not going to believe some kid in a stupid car almost crashed into me," she said taking off her jacket.

I put my pencil down glad to have an excuse to ignore it.

"Well did you get a good look at his face? His parents should know," said Mary Margaret.

"Yeah, but I don't think I've seen him before in town. Or at least I haven't noticed him..." She wondered off,"Aria, maybe you have a class with him."

I shook my head," I have no clue."
It was a small town but there were so many people at my school it's be to hard to keep track.

I felt Pan look over at the paper," what's with all the numbers?"

"Math," I blinked.

"Math?"

"A horrible punishment you never want to face."

He smirked.

Emma walked over to Henry," hey kid what's that?"

"Oh it's a basket for mom."

"Oh thanks kid but-"

"I meant for my other mom. I googled how to deal with a breakup. Aria and Pan helped me pick everything up."

I quickly looked down and crossed my fingers. Please don't mention the bottle...please don't mention the bottle.

Emma glanced down and picked up the wine," and how did you get this?" She quickly glanced up at me.

I cursed.

"Thanks for the faith Emma, but we just kindly asked the cashier if we could buy the wine for Regina," I explained.

Emma frowned," You know...you don't have to call me Emma. You could call me mom if you wanted to."

I met her eyes surprised by her sudden gesture,"oh-I-"

There was a loud bang on the window. Both Pan and David walked over to the noise. A black crow stood and the window sill. Mary Margaret grabbed a small roll of paper attached to the birds foot.

"It's a message," she said letting the bird go. She opened up the message and held it out in her hand," it's for Henry. It's from your mother," she said handing him the paper.

He looked down, reading the paper. His face flushed into disappointment,"she doesn't want to see me."  He whispered. We looked at him. His fist balled up as he began to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Asked Emma.

"Granny's." He said without another word as he walked out. I picked up the note and read it.

"I'll got talk to him," said Emma. She began to walk away but I quickly grabbed her shoulder.

"No," I said," let me."

Emma gave me a quick hug and glanced over at Pan. They exchanged knowing looks and Pan came beside me.

"Looks like I'm coming with you love," he smirked.

I nodded walking out and drove over to Granny's.

On the way there is watch the kids playing outside with their warm jackets and mitten. It hasn't snowed in a while and earlier I saw winter was coming to an end. Spring was finally arriving. I was gonna miss winter. It's my favorite time of year besides fall.
