We were seated in a castle that was particularly destroyed from the first curse. There were workers trying to fix it up. The apprentice was seated beside me across from the princess and some of her knights.
"As you can see I am royalty. When the original kind died there was no one to take his place though he left the crown to our father before he knew he had already been dead. The crown was past down to our very distant cousin who had become ill. I was the only one here to take the throne. Later that day the royal court came and I had to take that place So I did...How have you been?" She asked gesturing for some of her people to bring forward some tea. I grinned at the servant and took a sip. Sure wasn't cocoa from home but I had to be polite.
"So umm-" I was looking for the words to say, but I just couldn't find them.
"Why am I still alive and young and have no magic and you do?" She answered sweetly. "The apprentice can answer that."
I looked beside me at the apprentice. "Well," he bowed his head in gratitude,"The dark one was pregnant with twins. Originally your highness was supposed to inherent the magic born from true love. Though instead you, Aria, who had inherited the darkness also inherited the good when Tabitha was too weak to take it in. Though you were both trapped and sealed away together until years ago when you were both freed.
"My poor little sister," she said,"I am sorry I was too frail to share the burden. But I thank the heavens that you were not born to pure darkness."
I took a deep breath. We were nothing alike. She was a princess, a very beautiful, generous, and kind princess. I was not. "Thanks um, your highness?"
"Please," she exclaimed,"we are sisters call me, Tabitha."
Of course a princess would have a royal like name. Tabitha.
"Alright, Tabitha," I nodded,"I need to get back to my world."
"Of course you do. I was just hoping you would do something for me first. We are sisters after all and I need your help."
"With what?" I asked.
"There is a beast that has been killing and kidnapping children from villages at night. That is why I had been in that village earlier. A little girl was taken out of the hands of her mother. I was hoping with your magic- you would be able to bring back the children and stop the beast."
I quirked a brow. She had a stern look on her face. She wasn't going to allow me to leave unless I did something about the beast. I cursed under my breath,"I'll do it." The sooner I rid of the beast the faster I will be back home to save Pan and everyone else.
"Thank you, Aria," she smiled standing up,"I will arrange a company of my best knights to join in tomorrow night."
"Tomorrow night," I exclaimed. This had to be done tonight. I had to get back.
"Is there a problem?" She asked.
"I have people that are in danger right now in a town called Storybrooke. I have to be back a soon as possible to save them."
"Aria-" the apprentice scorned me,"the princess has a point. You must stay here to fight the beast before you can go back. This kingdom needs your help."
I bit my cheek,"fine." I looked towards Tabitha,"but first-" She quirked a brow almost taken back that I'd want something. Someone wasn't used to bargaining. "I want to know why it was that you kept me a secret from my dad. Why it was that you got to be raised with the love of our father while I lived without a family or a home almost all my life!"
