"The book has the story. It may be the way out of here," Emma pointed out opening the book. We had stopped to figure out how we would get out of here. She flipped through the pages examining them as I looked around the forest.
Something seemed familiar. It actually seemed quite odd. Only, I couldn't remember anything. I approached a large tree and rested my hand on it after feeling a buzzing sound coming from it.
"What is this?" I whispered feeling a strange energy, until white energy enveloped me.
"Where are we going?" I asked, pouting behind Evan. We were eating at a local pub one of his friends owns and I didn't get a chance to finish my food. Instead Evan suddenly became interested in something and pulled me out of there.
"Quiet, we are almost there," he whispered, ducking behind a tree.
"Evan?"
He shushed me pulling me down with him. We looked through the bushes at an empty trail.
"What is it?" I asked once more before a girl with long black hair dragged her brown horse down the trail.
"Who is that?" I asked.
"That doesn't matter. Look at her hand," he replied. I squinted at her neck noticing the white crystal ring on her hand.
He turned his head and smirked. I gave him the look whenever I knew he was going to do something bad. "Evan no. She's just a girl."
"A little rich girl whose a princess. I'm sure her daddy won't mind getting her a new one. She must have a room full of jewels. Now come on...on the count of three."
"But--"
"One... two... three." He stood up smiling.
"Well hello princess. Are you lost?" He asked.
The girl seemed cautious and frightened. She furrowed her brows.
"And who are you? If I may ask."
"You're father sent for you. He was worried that you'd get lost." He grinned.
She didn't seem to buy it, but she seemed intrigued by him.
"Did he?" She asked.
"Yes." He circled her once.
"Look," she swallowed. "My father will be worried and think something happened to me if I'm not home by the time the bells of the castle ring. So I suggest you leave."
"Leave a poor maiden here to be left and hurt by muggers? And what kind of a gentlemen would I be?"
She had a gentle smile. Maybe you could meet me in the town tomorrow? You may help me with my bags."
"Well of course. I don't want to leave a princess alone to carry heavy bags, now would I?" He smiled before leaning in to whisper something into her ear. He held her hand in his and kissed it. As he was placing back down he pulled off her ring and stuffing it into his sleeve before stepping away from her.
