The whooshing of skates against the ice surface filled up the building. Soft music blasted through the loud speakers. It complimented the cluster of activities buzzing on the rink.

Courtney pulled away from Chris on the ice, hitting a three sixty degree turn with her skates.
Chris drew closer to her and she fell safely into his outstretched arms, like they had finished a salsa performance.

Courtney giggled turning to Summer and Asher, "Beat that!"

Summer playfully rolled her eyes, she wasn't exactly the best on ice and everyone knew it.

Chris chuckled stared down at Courtney. He rewarded his girlfriend with a kiss.

"Now beat that." He smirked, his face unbearably close to Courtney's  flushed face.

"Get a room dudes!" Asher teased.

Chris flipped him the bird, his mouth locked with his girlfriend's.

Asher shook his head amused, those two could get laid anywhere.

He turned his attention to Summer. He had to skate beside her to offer some support, her balance on ice was quite poor.

Grayer skated past them like a breeze."Whoo..." He screamed, adrenaline coursed through his veins.

"Keep up guys!" He added, almost knocking St.Williams over.

"I'm coming for you!" Summer accepted the challenge. She broke free from Asher's hand and picked up speed after Grayer.

She was getting better on the ice, she smiled.

"Be careful Babe." Asher cautioned, picking up speed to keep up with her.

The sound of the magnificent double rink doors opening made Summer lose focus as she narrowed her eyes at the two figures standing in the doorway.

Wasn't the place booked for her friend group only?

Accidentally, she tripped up on her rollers and it sent her tumbling to the ice surface.

"Argh!" Summer yelped, pain shooting through her body.

She had landed on the ice surface  with an unmistakable force drawing the attention of her friends.

Grayer zoomed back towards her, his face strewn with concern. He crouched beside her, slowly lifting her head from the floor.

"I got her." Asher volunteered, scooping Summer up from the floor in one swift movement and skating her out of the rink.

Grayer sighed skating after them, he wasn't the only one crazy about protecting his best friend now.

He was glad other people had her back, but he couldn't ignore a certain restlessness overpowering him.

"We'll grab the first aid kit." Courtney assured Grayer.

She skated out the rink, Chris in tow.

St.Williams made sure everyone was safe off the rink before dashing over to attend to the girls who had just stepped in.

"Naya, you're here?" St.Williams raised a brow questioning her presence. He clearly didn't remember inviting her.

Naya flinched staring up at St.Williams who had turned to Winter for an explanation.

"We were together when you texted and I suggested she'd tag along." Winter explained looking up at St.Williams.

"I hope you're not mad or something." Winter probed.

St.Williams scratched his head, he disliked unannounced appearances. For some reason it threw him off guard.

Regardless, Naya was there already. There was nothing he could do about it.
