"Hey Winters, it's your favorite ice princess! Hope you all are having a blissful weekend! Let's dive into today's live." Winter introduced herself to her current four thousand live viewers.
She slowly walked through the party, scrunching her nose a little. The hall was raging with sweaty bodies dancing to the loud music. The smell of booze and vape hung all over the place
The turn up had been massive, Courtney's birthday bash was one of the most looked forward to events every year at their school. She was known for throwing the wildest parties.
Winter was glad she'd been on the invite list
The loud music echoed to the surroundings and Winter adjusted her noise cancelling microphone to her cami top. She'd paired it off with some light wash denim shorts. Her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail tail.
Winter hoped the noise wouldn't interfere with her live. She had a few other stuff to cover tonight.
"I'm streaming live from Courtney's #18 birthday bash! Yup, we're talking about Courtney Crimson, former Miss Teen queen. Say hi to the birthday girl!" Winter narrated, inviting Courtney to join her live.
Courtney waved at the camera. Her blue lace sequinned dress hugged her intricate figure. There was a diamond studded tiara perched atop her head and  a glittery birthday sash draped across her body.
A bright smile lit up her face as she read the birthday wishes from winter's phone screen. She blew the Winters virtual kisses.
"Anyway, Courtney's got to go scuttle loves. She needs to attend to her guests. We'll continue with the tour from here. Let's go!" Winter briefed, moving through the house.
The snack bar was laden with desserts and Winter captured that, not forgetting the chocolate fountain and live band. She'd been contacted to advertise for the party planners as well.
Winter made her way out through the back door, where most of the activities were set.
The smell of grilled meat and s'mores  hit her nostrils, and she made a beeline to grab some grilled steak.
Courtney's birthday was an extravaganza and Winter loved parties which popped.
The steak tasted divine and Winter gave it a review, on her live. Her camera captured every moment. From friends clustered in groups chatting around cocktail tables  sipping a punch or two, to people playing board games around the swimming pool area amidst laughter, having a great time.
The fiberglass pool which flanked one half of the party ground was out of use. It had been decorated with flower petals spelling out Courtney's name. It didn't stop some of the guests from dipping their feet in the water  for a relaxing pool conversation though. Courtney didn't mind, she wasn't petty.
Asher stood with Summer a few metres away, chatting over a glass of punch, a stash of cards in their hands.
Summer dropped a card to the stash piled up on the table.
"You did not just hit me with a queen of hearts!" Asher laughed, giving his cards a light shuffle.
"I'll go easy on you, I promise." Summer assured her boyfriend, pulling out a club.
Asher pouted and summer leaned over the table, delivering a peck on his lips.
A smile at once lit up his clean shaven face.
He shuffled the cards in his hands once more then hit the stash with a jack, a smirk played on his face.
He momentarily thought he'd conquered Summer in the game.
"I win again lover boy." She smiled, slapping Asher's jack with an Ace of spades.
Asher groaned, giving his cards a whimsy shuffle.
A soft wind blew, lifting a couple of the cards off the table. It floated away into the evening mist.
"I'll grab them, I've got my eyes on you!" Summer briefed, narrowing her eyes at her boyfriend for emphasis.
"I won't cheat." He confessed, raising his arms up in mock surrender.
Summer was quite satisfied with what she saw and crouched down to grab a couple of the cards off the floor.
She helplessly watched a few float down into the swimming pool before she could grab them.
Tactfully, she crept beside the swimming pool, reaching out for the rest of the cards which floated on the surface of the water. She would easily be able to lift it up with her nails.
Winter who was wrapping up with her live stared up at St.William's who had called out to her from his spot working a grill.
He was shirtless and had an apron with the inscription, 'Grill me, maybe' tied over his bulk frame.
His golden brown skin shimmered in the dim light, giving him a sexy edge. The heat from the grill flared and St.Williams flashed a smile with his pearly whites, taming it at once.
Girls trooped to his station to get served some meat. Winter was sure they wanted his meat.
She returned the wave and smiled at him, momentarily losing focus as a drunk teen staggered into her.
She stepped back, tripping against something or someone and dropped her selfie cam to gain balance.
Summer felt a force tug at her from behind from her position crouched beside the swimming pool. It sent her toppling over into the swimming pool.
"Argh!" She yelped, falling into the pool with a thud.
The place was dead silent for a while, everyone's attention being drawn to Summer. Some watched agape, looks of concern flashed within a few and the rest just sniggered.
Summer sighed, the chilled chlorine water seeped through her crop top and jeans, her sneakers were probably a done deal now. She passed a hand over matted hair falling on her face.
She hated public pools, the excessive chlorine and water treatment plans made her body itch.
A look of frustration washed over her facial features as she looked at the preparator, Winter.
Winter on noticing what she'd caused and who it was, stillled for a moment.
She covered her mouth with her palms, trying to suppress impending laughter.
The subtle look of humiliation and frustration on Summer's face gave her an odd satisfaction.
Summer stared daggers through Winter's skull. Couldn't this girl pay attention to her surroundings and not be such a phone junkie!
Winter tried to salvage the situation by putting up an innocent face and outstretched her hand to help Summer out. Her blood boiled, so she did the unthinkable.
Summer graciously took her hand, played an equally innocent smile at Winter, then tugged her into the pool with her.
