"Happy birthday St.Williams!" Summer and Asher chorused wrapping St.Williams in a bear hug.
"You're growing up so fast, big man. We were having bubble baths together and sleepovers when? Three years ago?" Summer teased, ruffling his hair.
"Yo, I've got chicks here.I've got to maintain composure."St. Williams' shushed.
Summer laughed in satisfaction, watching him pat his dark brown curls back. He'd gotten an all round fade giving him this sharp look.
He looked great in a dark brown shirt which gripped his muscles and some jeans.
Asher bro hugged St. Williams, and Summer busied herself dropping his gift on the table laden with gift boxes and shopping bags.
The party was in good hype already,Summer smiled taking a cursory glance around the vast space.
Bodies were pressed against each other dancing in the middle of the room, pumping themselves up with alcohol held in plastic red cups.
A few others were getting stoned at the back.Summer could easily make out their silhouettes from the see through glass doors which opened to St.Williams' backyard.
A handful of couples were spotted eating each other's faces off at secluded spots they thought weren't visible to the public. Others couldn't be arsed and did it at any vantage point.
Summer motioned to Asher that she'd grab them sodas and made a beeline towards the kitchen.
"Big ups Dude!" Grayer saluted St.Williams, slapping his back. Winter stood beside Grayer,in a short black dress and matching heels, looking softly up at their exchange.
"Happy birthday." She smiled hugging
St.Williams when Grayer was done with his greetings.
"Thanks Winter. You look good."St.Williams smiled giving her a once over.
She flashed him a smile and Grayer chuckled watching the encounter.
Winter turned her attention to her iPhone as she had a text to reply.
"We are going in for drinks." Grayer announced after a while, proceeding with Winter towards the kitchen.
St. Williams tactfully grabbed Grayer's bicep, allowing Winter to walk a bit further in front.
"She's holding up fine with everything going on, you're her life support.Don't hurt her."He advised looking at Winter's direction.
Grayer passed his hand through his brown curls,"Why,you
want her or something?"
"St.Williams shrugged," I'm just looking out for her."
Grayer nodded and progressed towards the kitchen, hands shoved down his pocket.
Summer pulled a can of soda and a root beer from the fridge.
She tactfully used her elbow to push the fridge door close as both hands held drinks.
Then, she looked up trying to find a way out of the throng to the living room.
She finally found a narrow space leading out and pushed through, immediately rolling her eyes seeing Winter progress near.
"Get out of my way!" She plainly
instructed Winter as space in the walkway was quite tight.
"You could just back off." Winter retorted with new found confidence.
"After whooping your ass you still haven't learned any manners, have you?" Summer gave a dry laugh.
"I'm giving you two options sweetheart, scoot or I'd cripple you." Summer added, lolling her head to the side. She had all the time in this world to handle Winter.
