The days flew by and it was a school day.

Summer sat in class, her airpods blasting Doja Cat's  Agora Hills. The class was slowly filling up. Taylor had volunteered to drive her to school,Asher was running late.

She maintained her seat with Asher. After much internal deliberation, she finally decided she wasn't ready to switch back seats with Grayer.

Something about the way they interacted was different now.It was like an energy switch. Gradually fluctuating as time went on.

It kind of bothered Summer that she couldn't exactly place her hand on it. Regardless she waved it off. She excused it to them being apart for a while.

For some reason, Asher had been reluctant to switch seats too.

It was like he'd become more possessive over her ever since St.Williams' party where she'd almost drunk her mind off.

Summer didn't mind,it was probably Asher's way of protecting her.

She was lost in her own world of thoughts that she didn't realize Grayer entered the class and made a beeline towards her.

"Hey," He greeted, placing a hand on her shoulder. It jolted her back to reality.

"Hey." Summer nodded, plucking out her airpods.

Grayer leaned in to kiss Summer's forehead and she tactfully whipped her head back.

It was like physical contact with Grayer drove this insane sensation through her.

He winced a little on noticing  she had tactfully avoided the kiss.

Summer busied herself replying to a text on her iPhone as Grayer  shrugged his bag on the floor.

Summer felt the seat dip beneath her and she looked up at Grayer with questioning eyes.

"Um, I've got something to tell you. I'll be up in a few." Grayer explained.

Summer nodded, glad Grayer had understood that they weren't going to sit together anymore.

"What's up?" Summer asked, discarding her phone.

"I got us tickets for Festcon, this coming Saturday." He announced, expecting her to scream and wrap him in a hug. Summer was crazy about Festcon.

Festcon was an annual e-game convention they went to every year.

They would sign up for double tickets a  month early and wait to be accepted later on.

With everything going on,they had forgotten about it and the excitement coming with it had died down.It was only recently that Grayer got to follow up on it.
He believed he could make up for lost time with Summer during that period. After all,it was something they always did together

Summer gnawed at her bottom lip as Grayer watched her in uncertainty.

"I've got her ticket to Festcon covered. Get up from my seat dude." Asher announced coyly.

He had just arrived in class, traffic had held him up.

"I'm sorry, but I'm going with Asher already. He went through a lot to get us the tickets since he's not even a registered member.Isn't he the best?" Summer gushed wrapping her arms around Asher's neck as he leaned in for a peck.

Grayer quite taken back passed a hand through his hair. The last time he checked Asher wasn't keen about game conventions. Was this just a plot to keep him away from Summer?
He bit back a snide comment.

"Dude, get up...I'm starting to feel like I'm the friend here." Asher said, reminding Grayer of his place.

It irked Asher seeing Grayer within a two metre radius from his girlfriend.
