"Red team zero! Blue, eight! Start the second set!" The gym instructor yelled with a loud blow to his whistle. It rang through the gym as they started the next round of volleyball.

The taut ball flew over Courtney's head and she grabbed it, tossing it back across the net.Naya made a quick save and Summer offered her a smile before hitting it back hard. It landed in the other half of the court with a thump.

"Another point for the blue team." The  gym instructor announced, turning his attention to the score sheet on his clipboard. He ticked off the names of the participating students.

The final whistle echoed through the gym walls. The Blue team had won. Summer smiled victoriously.

Winter's team had won their game too and they'd have to play against eachother. She was excited about it,she wanted a surefire way to aim a ball at Winter without getting suspended. That girl made her blood boil.

Summer slowly made her way out of the pitch,it was the boy's turn to play.

Asher looked at her and smiled. "I'm scoring four goals for you, Babe!" He screamed from across the court.  Summer giggled and gave him a thumbs up sign.

Chris on the other hand was happily blowing air kisses  to his girlfriend who had just finished her game.Courtney smiled from her position on the bleachers she had settled on and blew  exaggerated air kisses back.

"Smith! Quit the love game and get your ass on the pitch! You too, Martinez!" The Gym instructor yelled at the boys to get their attention back to the court.

Summer playfully rolled her eyes, watching them immediately follow the gym instructors command in mock fashion.

She felt a sharp pain in her tummy but excused it once the boys started playing. She busied herself cheering for her boyfriend's team and after a while pitched down on it when the pain shot across her tummy becoming intense. It was like the contents of her stomach were scrunching together to release an excruciating pain.

Her initial guess was pre-period cramps, but she wasn't supposed to have her period until another two days. The pain was unbearable regardless.

A tall looming figure backed up behind her.She didn't bother  turning around to see who it was, she knew  it was him.The familiar scent of his cologne,a woody fresh scent with fruity notes filled up her lungs, giving him away.It was like she was breathing in intoxicating air.

Her heart for some reason raced as she felt his body close up behind her.
She stiffened for a moment, unable to fathom what was happening.Until the realization hit her! Periods could come unplanned anytime.

"Trust me,you wouldn't want to turn around." Grayer warned softly, his breath tickled the hairs standing on her neck.

This kind of proximity with Grayer was unfamiliar and it made thoughts rain into Summer's head in torrents.

His head rested briefly on the crook of her neck when he stooped low to whisper into her ear. The soft stubble on his chin grazed her neck sweetly as he pulled his head away.

In one swift movement, he yanked off the sweatshirt he was wearing and wrapped it around Summer's waist.
His hands found the sleeves of the shirt which dangled at her side and he grabbed it, knotting it neatly above her pelvis.

His hands brushed against her bare waist as the cropped tee she was wearing rid up a bit high up her tummy. It sent waves of unfamiliar emotions surging through Summer's body.

Sooner than enough,he was done and flipped her over to face him.He looked softly up at her and she at once understood.

"Thank you." She managed to spill.  Her cheeks were a light shade of pink as she scurried off. She internally wondered if it was from the mild embarrassment that came with everything or her proximity with Grayer. God, what was she even thinking!
