Chapter 62

Our rooms were okay.

They were small, not cramped though.

We had a wall of Boxes built into the wall to put our stuff, like shelves... that were stable enough to support my weight... hehe.

The first thing I did was climb up to the top and squeeze into one of the cubes. I felt like a cat... like a kitten... cute...

There were four bunks against the walls, I picked the one closest to the window and door on the opposite side of the room. We had a washing line out the back of the door and a small grassy area before complete bush land and activity areas.

We had a small room attached, it had a dysfunctional toilet and a useful sink. There was one small cracked mirror on a wall next to the not operating shower.

Amelia and Eve were chatty as they talked about their bus ride up.

Amelia bragging about how many selfies she had taken on Noodles phone and Eve about how she wasn't sure why she fell asleep on Felix...

We all laughed when she tried to tell us she had been drugged.

We soon moved off to the hall for lunch. We sat at tables by cabin ... so I was seriously stuck with those two weasels for a whole week.

Meals were terrible... as camp food was but... you know... digestible.

Noodle I could see from another table away, he was facing me ... he couldn't take his eyes of Amelia and Eve's backs... Connie was next to me, she slipped me concerned looks.

I occasionally made eyes at Noodle... or day dreamed off into space and planets seemed to fill my vison.
All I could imagine were stars floating around us, emerging me into another , better world. I could always see him as the main focus... the solar system floating around him, stars pouring from corners of the room . Colours flooding from my brain into the atmosphere.

Then he would catch me out nearly every time... he would give me a smile or an odd look from his side of the hall...

God damn ...

After we finished eating and I stopped zoning out, the instructor decided to inform us of what we were doing the next day.

" depending on your groups you will be doing two of four activities" he began , " group 1 , beach walking , group 2 , bike ride, group 3, archery , group 4 , skill limits" he read off the piece of paper.

After that we were divided into our groups.

Since there were majority 4 to a cabin, there were never two of the same number from one place.

Meaning you really had to be lucky to be with some friends.

I was thank god the luckiest girl there, I had Noodle... I don't know how I did it , but maybe some god like Woden was looking over me... or Neptune cause we were close to the sea....

That didn't matter , I was group 3, I was doing archery first thing in the morning.

It was a shame that didn't come soon enough.

Because I had to endure the bathrooms. That was the worst.

I waited in line for years to get to the shower.

Amelia and Eve behind me the whole time...

They didn't shut up the whole time too!
