Chapter 69 

It turns out that Amelia was right... it was sandwiches... unfortunately.

I saw Noodle and Felix in the line ahead of me...

And then it was time shortly for our next activity.

My group was going Skill Limits in the games room.

Which sucked. It was hot and stuffy in there and the windows were stuck closed!

I hated this weather, humid during the day and freezing at night! It wasn't fair, and it wasn't doing my head any favours! The fluctuations sucked!

I sat next to Cherry.

" how'd I do?" I asked, looking at her pale face glow pink with the heat.

" well to be honest you suck at flirting" she began.

" thanks... real self esteem booster!" I grumbled.

" yeah... its ok , it's your first time doing this , you're doing better than I did" she smiled.

" seriously?"

" no , you suck worse than me!" she grinned. " right, so where do you want to go with this?"

" what ?"

" a hook up? Dating? Bedroom buddies?" she nudged me again laughing.

" haha erm... I don't know? I didn't think about that" I said , thinking. " I guess all I wanted was to be his number one..."

" oh yeah so majestical and whatever" she said sarcastically. " listen , touch his arm a little"

" arm? Ok I have no problem touching those arms" I giggled.

She then demonstrated how to do so... it was harder than I expected... I had to do it lightly enough to be cute and do it at the right time.

" complex much!?"

" not really" she said.

And then we began the activity.

It was actual shit. I mean we were doing team bonding activities ... with no actual teams!

Noodle always seemed to be my partner or my opposition.

At one point during the activities I nearly hit him with a broom... it was an accident I swear!

" do you trust me?" he asked as we paired up.

" erm.... For this no!" I said firmly and looked at Cherry. She was paired up with Viny... " or maybe I will..."

" haha!" he grinned.

" now fall!" yelled the instructor. And I closed my eyes I fell. I seemed to cut through the air like a knife, I felt heavy and weighted.

Then I felt his warm arms under my arm pits. Sturdy and strong he held me from hitting the ground. He pulled me up and I opened my eyes.

" holy shit" I breathed... I hated falling, I hated trusting people with my life like that! I could feel my heart beating in my chest.

" you're pretty light there madam" he smiled.

" ha, funny , I'm probably heavier than you!" I grin and hold out my arms , " your turn, do you trust me?"

" hardly" he grinned and I swear he winked at me.

Cherry gave me a smile and a thumbs up as she missed Viny and he crashed to the ground angrily.

"mmm" I mumbled as I saw his back plummeting towards me. I struggled to support him and eventually succeeded in completing the activity.

" how was that?" he asked.
