•Lia's POV•
Did he just ask me to marry him?
"Maybe we should talk about this tomorrow and not when we just had sex." I suggest.
"Lia I'm serious. This isn't just pillow talk, I want us back to the way we were." He says putting his hand to my cheek.
I have this doubt and fear that he is just going to hurt me again. That he only wants us back for the sex and to fill his needs.
"Tom I can't do this right now ok. We can talk in the morning. I'm going to go shower." I get up, go grab clothes and leave to shower.
•Tom's POV•
I hear the shower still running after an hour. Maybe I should have waited. I know what I did was unforgivable but I want to make up for it. I need to do more and I need to do better. For starters I call Haz and he answers.
"Why in the bloody hell are you calling me this late?" He answers groggily.
"Mate don't get mad, I asked Lia to marry me. She just left to shower but she thinks I just want the sex and not her." I rush out before he interrupts.
"You did not just call me after having sex with my best mate.If you did and you proposed after having sex then you definitely need to talk in the morning and not having pillow talk. Now I'm going to bed or I will not be as t work tomorrow Tom. Goodnight." Then he hangs up.
Well that went sort of bad and sort of good all at once. After connecting my phone to the charger I hear the shower turn off. And not long after, she walks in.
"Hey love, I want to apologize for proposing right then. I do not regret it and will never regret it but it was improper timing. Maybe tomorrow we can properly sit down and see where your head and heart is at." I tell her when she sits down in the bed.
"Thank you Tom, I appreciate that. Look it's not that I don't love you, because I do, always have and always will. It's just with this whole Lydia stuff happening I'm not sure I can put my heart on the line again."
"I understand and I will not rest until this Lydia stuff is taken care of." I kiss her forehead and turn the lights off for sleep.
Ring Ring
