Four More Words (SU)

This is the fourth time. It was getting a bit tiring.

Well, this is to be expected, he supposed. It couldn't all be sunshine and roses. No, that would be too good to be true. He was very fortunate as it is. This was just a little thing compared to what he has.

Dating Nadine Lustre has its toll but he wouldn't have it any other way.

"I love her! I have so much to offer her!!!" the fourth guy had said.

'Here it goes again.' James thought.

This has happened three times before, too. And James knew it'll probably continue to happen. After Nadine has announced, well she didn't really, but when she subtly referred to him as her official 'Hubby' on IG, it seems there was uproar among the male population of the Philippines. Well, the part of said population that are Naddicts, and that's not a small population.

Many of her fan boys reacted negatively, as expected. There were many rude and nasty comments regarding James online. And few of these fans actually confronted him in person.

This guy would be the fourth one. But this time it was different, this was not just Nadine's fan, this was one of her friends... who apparently is in love with her.

"I knew her first! I love her first! You stole her from me!" he was shouting, pointing manically at James.

James is just quiet, contemplating on what best to do. Three times before, he really wished he could do a Timothy Pendleton and just talk with fists but now... maybe he should just accept that fans won't stop bothering them until he finally tied the knot with Nadine. And he is planning to do so, but of course he'd have to wait. Anyway, maybe they'll even bother them even after that, so what's the use in wearing out yourself for something unavoidable?

The guy had stopped. He was waiting for an answer.

James looked at the sky calmly and said firmly, "I love her."

It seems this angered him more.

"That's all you have to say?!" he cried, spit flying everywhere.

James looked at him, still calm. For him those three words were already enough. Doesn't this guy understand? But, well, he still has four words to offer.

James opened his mouth again and said, "And she loves me."

And that was more than enough.
